"Hey, you."

The brown haired teen turned and saw a man walk up to him from the shadowy alleyway.

"What do you want?" He sighed, wanting to get home ASAP.

"You're Anthony Crynight, correct?"

Anthony's eyes widened and he frantically looked around. Good. No one heard that. He glared up at the man.

"Why do you ask?"

"I am Sensei Garmadon." He said. "I've been searching for you to train you as ninja."

"A ninja?" Anthony rolled his eyes, recalling those annoying ninja who have to save the day at least three times a week. He scoffed and eye the brown haired man suspiciously. "Why would I trust someone with Red eyes?" He teased.

"I'll have you know, these are in my DNA." He retorted. "Why would I want someone with purple eyes to be a ninja?"

"What does that have to do with anything?!" He yelled.

"I was about to ask the same thing." The man replied with a smirk. Anthony growled.

"Whatever." He turned around and began walking away. "Why would I, of all people, agree to become a ninja?"

"I thought you would say that." The strange man said. "Your brother said the exact same thing when he was assigned to become friends with the ninja." Anthony stopped.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Anthony spat.

"Alistair?"

Anthony flinched. "Why does it matter, anyway? He's gone now."

"He thinks the same thing about you."

"Shut up!" Anthony turned back to face him. "You don't know what you're talking about! Alistair is dead!"

"Anthony." He said. "I promise, if you become a ninja, you will see your brother again."

"Yeah right," Anthony cried, laughing. "maybe in the afterlife!"

"Anthony." The man said softly. Anthony glared at him. "I would not lie about this sort of things."

His scowl melted away.

Is Alistair alive?

Even if he was...

Would I see him again?

"Fine." Anthony said.

"Oh." He said. "Just so you know, you're not my only student."

"Huh?"

"You'll see." He made a gesture to follow him.

"Alright then." Anthony said. "By the way, there's no way your name could be Sensei. What's your real name?"

"You'll know in time." He said seriously. "For now, just stick with Sensei."

"Fine."

"Where," Anthony panted. "are we going?"

"Almost there." Sensei said. Anthony groaned, feeling like they've been climbing the Mountain of a Million Steps forever. Wait. It is called the Mountain of a Million Steps for a reason.

"We're here." He said. Anthony stopped and gazed upon an old-looking monastery.

"Hey," He said. "Isn't this the Monastery where the first mast of spinjitzu lived with his family?"

"I though you didn't care for ninja." Sensei smirked.

"That has nothing to do with the ninja." Anthony retorted. "That's basic Ninjago history."

Sensei scoffed and pushed the door open, which revealed chaos. Three other teens, looking Anthony's age were tackling each other and shouting. Sensei sighed.

"This is normal. Trust me." He said. He cleared his throat and the three froze, noticing Sensei's presence. The red head was the first to stand.

"KAM STARTED IT!" He cried.

"Hey!" The brown haired one yelled. "I did not!"

The blonde just stood and crossed his arms as the other two threw insults-rather loud insults-at each other. Sensei shook his head.

"I swear, you're all children. Tch... Anyway, you three," He turned to Anthony. "This is Anthony. He'll be training with you. Anthony, this is Titus." He pointed to the serious looking blonde.

"Word of advice," Titus told him blankly. "Oliver makes little robot friends so make sure to check under your bed."

Anthony rolled his eyes.

"Oliver." He pointed to the red head with goggles atop his head.

"Hey!" He grinned.

"And that's Kam."

Kam smirked. "You seem like a trustworthy guy. Welcome aboard."

"Thanks." Anthony said, eyeing him suspiciously.

"Well," Sensei said with a smile. "I hope you'll be comfortable here."

"I need you to answer some things for me." He said.

"I told you, Anthony," Sensei replied firmly. "You'll see Alistair in no time."

"Fine."

"Training continues tomorrow." Sensei said.

"Yes, Sensei." The other three bowed and walked away.

Anthony sighed. "Yes, Sensei." Oliver showed him his room.

"Their time is coming soon." Sensei muttered to himself. "I'll see you again soon, Lloyd."
