We all were seated in Tiffany’s or rather our room. Dressed in my pajamas and a loose T, with my hair turned into a mess, because of the simple reason that I had not bothered to comb it, I was sipping a glass of lemonade. Tiffany was talking to Ella, taking her advice on what she should wear tomorrow.

A cheerleader stays a cheerleader!

I mentally laughed at this lame sentence of mine.

“Oh baby! Of course, I am missing you…”

Fiona was talking on her phone, with her oh-so-new boyfriend, Shane of course! I wonder how many boyfriends she will have before she finally settles on one.

“Stacy, help me, will ya?”

Tiffany’s voice hit my ears.

“Um..Yeah..”

“Tomorrow we are going to a party, actually THE PARTY!!” Tiffany said quoting with her hands and continued, “I’m not able to decide what I should wear!”

As if I could tell her the dress.. Wait! What did she say?

“What? Party?” I asked in disbelief.

Dude, we have just come to here and we are already attending parties!

“Yeah. Umm.. Sorry, I forgot to tell you that we have to attend a party tomorrow. You had fallen asleep when I informed Fiona last night. She has agreed and even Ella is ready to go.” Tiffany said.

“Nah! I’m not going.”

Tiffany gave me a glare, which I happily returned.

“Party!! Really guys? We have come here to spend time together and have fun, not to attend some lame parties where kids pretending to be cool just end up drinking and doing silly things. Parties take place in California too.” I stated.

“But, this one’s a special party. It’s actually the most awaited one in here.” Tiffany said, looking at her newly painted nails.

“So Tiff you can go and have fun. I won’t mind, really. Its just I’m not much of a party person, as you know and I just don’t feel like getting in the midst of drunk people and hot make-out sessions right now.”

“Of course we know you don’t love parties, but once-in-a-while is good. You should come, please. Ella said.

“No guys. You go. I would be fine. Anyways I have Aunt Kelly’s company here.”

“Why do you always do this Stace? You kill the fun every time!”

I hadn’t noticed that Fiona had stopped talking on the phone and was now standing in front of me, with her hands on her hips.

Whoa! What a change of tone girl! So annoyingly sweet with Shane and this for me?

“I just don’t want to go, Fiona. I’m not stopping you all from going there!”

“But the FEST stays together, isn’t girls?” Tiffany said, looking expectantly at Fiona and Ella.

“Of course!” They both said in unison, grinning widely.

“Come on, Stace. I’m telling you, you won’t regret it. We all should go and have fun, just like old times!” Tiffany said this time.

Just like old times.

These words stuck in my mind. I miss the fun we used to have, the pranks, the classes we skipped, the talks, the night-outs, the party crashing plans and what not!

I miss FEST, like hell!

Oh God! I’m turning into sappy Fiona!

But, truth be told, of course I miss that time. Those were the best years of my life.
