A/N Phew! That last chapter sure did take up a lot of brain juice. Don't worry, I can run on nothing but Nightcore and ice cream for a week. NO SLEEP!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
(Your POV)
You whimpered as the hand tightened, slowly dragging you further away from the door. You heard someone stand up behind you. Your hands snaked out from under you and checked your nightgown, making sure it hadn't flown up when you tripped. Luckily enough, it hadn't flown all the way up, it had just barely covered up your underwear. You sighed in relief.
You squealed as you were picked up roughly by the waist, then silenced when cold metal was held to your neck. The edge just barely touched your skin but you could feel the menace behind it. You gulped and winced as your flesh pressed up against the knife.
"So Girlie, I was just thinking. This is no place for someone so young to be living in alone. Where are your parents?" A rough low voice asked, the sound seeming to grate against your ear.
You sobbed, not from fear, but from the memories of your parents. They were so caring, they loved you, but you just had to lose control. You remember the crimson fluid running down your elongated snout, the feral look of your eyes in the mirror.
You went limp, forcing the body behind you to hold you up.
"They're not here." You snarled.
"Oh really, they would just leave you alone like this? They must not be very good parents." The voice, the MALE voice asked, this time his lips touched your ear. You shivered before hissing,
"My parents were amazing people! Unlike you!" The rage inside you boiled, heating your face and lighting a fire in your eyes.
"Oh, so they're no longer with us? Such a shame. Now tell me, who else is here with you?" He pressed the knife against your neck with a little bit more force, making your delicate skin sting.
"You can go to hell!" You spat.
He paused, almost like he was considering it. Then, you could almost feel him smile.
"Oh really? I'd say I'm heaven." He stated casually before spinning you around. You gasped at what you saw.
A bleached white face, wide eyes, and dark matted hair filled your vision, but worst of all was the Glasgow smile he was sporting.
"I know, I'm beautiful, right?" He grinned, which he never seemed to stop doing. You had seen him before, walking through the woods relatively close to here not even a month ago.
You needed to get away, and fast. You would have to use your last resort. But that wouldn't matter. It wouldn't shame you if you were called a monster, by a monster. You took one last look at the face, which had tried to frown as he saw your eyes.
You beckoned forward the beast you harbored underneath and gave way to its will, easily shifting into its lithe and dangerous form. He dropped you quickly, giving out a startled yell. You spotted another teen, this one shorter, on the steps watching with rapt attention, before he started laughing.
You darted to the door, ignoring the papers scattered across the floor. They were important, but they weren't worth your life. You ran through the doorway, your significantly wider body causing the door to slam open and fall off its hinges.
You quickly covered the ground between the door and the surrounding trees. You leaped over a bush and landed on the other side in the dense undergrowth.
You wasted no time in creating as much space as you possibly could between you and them. You heard the two stumble out of the cabin and struggle through the undergrowth, but they were getting nowhere fast.
The sounds of their struggling gradually faded, but you didn't stop running, at least, not until you tripped on a tree root.
You simply stayed there, sprawled across the leaves like a dead animal. You panted heavily, your chest heaving rapidly as your tongue lolled out the side of your mouth. Sweat covered your flanks and chilled you to the bone.
You slowly rolled over and shook the leaves off your back. You padded off into the bushes, sniffing around for signs of anyone else lingering about, but you caught the metallic scent too late. They had already found you.
You turned and snarled, baring your teeth at the equally strange teen. This one had dark clothing and a blue mask. He was extremely different from the other two, but still unnervingly similar. You would rather take your chances with the small green one than either of the two you had met. He was small, but he did sound pretty twisted.
You squared him up as you stiffened your posture.
"That's new. I could have sworn the most dangerous thing in here besides us were foxes." He spoke in a monotonous voice that sent chills down your spine.
"I also thought wolves were less intelligent, don't you think?" He spoke again. Every time he opened his mouth, the metallic smell got stronger, and it made you uneasy.
"Any animal would have run by now, so what are you?" He asked, but he wasn't really asking, no he knew. Damn he was smart. That was definitely your cue to get going.
You turned a full 180 degrees and fled, not hearing a single sound signaling pursuit. You stopped and turned around curiously. When you saw nothing, you relaxed slightly. You started to pad on, when a flash of navy blue caught your eye.
You jumped, but you were too late. You had been sliced. You whimpered, feeling the blood drip down your (h/c) coat as your shoulder stung mercilessly. You had just managed to avoid it.
You glared at him before taking off again, this time you didn't stop. You knew he would wait for you to stop, and you weren't going to give him another chance.
You heard a crash and knew he had ran into some trouble. You kept running, not realizing where you were going. Before you knew it, you saw two VERY familiar faces...
