DESCRIPTION: In which Naomi Rodriguez tries to get her mom, Xochi Rodriguez, and her costar, Chadwick Boseman, together because who wouldn't want the Chad-Man to be their dad?
SUMMARY: Xochi Rodriguez, a once iconic popular actress, went into retirement from the Hollywood industry a few years after her daughter, Naomi Rodriguez, was born. Ever since June 1, 1997, Xochi had raised Naomi as a single parent and had inspired thousands of other single mothers around the globe, showing them that they could do it too and they weren't alone. When her husband, Danny Ortega, first left her after the birth of their child for a much younger actress Xochi had been absolutely devastated. But the determined woman didn't let that stop her or Naomi from achieving their goals in life.
From Hollywood sweetheart to successful businesswoman and fashion designer, Xochi Rodriguez had become the wealthiest self-made woman in America with her multibillion dollar company. The True Beauty Company not only made eco friendly high fashion clothing but also beauty products that weren't tested on animals unlike most of the makeup industry. The company's main objective was to support women of color all over the world. A large portion of the company's profits went into funding women of color organizations/charities to help further develop their rights in society.
Xochi's new business career had flourished along with her daughter's acting career.
The younger Rodriguez had recently gotten a major role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Athilesa Garcia that landed her in movies such as Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming and most recently Avengers: Infinity War. Naomi was living the dream working for her favorite franchise and acting alongside incredible actors and actresses such as the Chadwick Boseman.
At the beginning of her new job Naomi jokingly tried to set up her mother with her older castmates but then things changed. As Naomi got older she realized that her mother could quite possibly stay alone forever. Xochi Rodriguez deserved better including happiness and true love.
And so the plan to get the charming Chadwick Boseman with Xochi Rodriguez was soon put into motion.
