James woke up earlier, He can't wait to go to Ilocos, The Van would fetch him from his Condo, so he has enough time to prepare for his things, or more like, shove his things in his duffle bag. When he entered the Service Van, Nadine was already inside sleeping. He went to her side, but she didn't stir from her slumber. he took his time looking at her.She looks so peaceful when she sleeps, no trace of the tigress he encountered this past few days. It was the first time they fought, but thinking about the fight, lead him into feeling the pain he felt when they weren't talking at all. He doesn't want to go back there. Not if he can't help it. He was unconsciously touching her hair now, which made her stir and open her eyes. She smiled when she saw him, "Good morning, sleepy head"James whispered and kissed her on the forehead, which was unusual for him to do, since he always kiss her on the cheeks. "Let's get you comfortable" he added, and adjusted himself, so that she was now lying on his shoulder. And they remained in the position on the way to their destination.
They woke up, got ready to shoot for their first location, while the team was setting up, James pullled Nadine on the side,
James: I need to talk to you, something happened last night." he looks concerned
Nadine: what happened?" confusion etching her face,
James: last night, After I went out with the guys, I went by the bar where Sam was hanging out, He texted me, and I didn't want to be rude and turned him down, so I went, coz it was pretty close from where we are" he explained
Nadine: James, relax, Why are you telling me this? you don't need to explain everything to me.it's not as if I'm your 'girlfriend" Nadine air quoted, as if to make emphasist on the word.
James: Because, I want you to be one" he released the breath he's been holding. And looked at her seriously
Nadine: You're.... not kidding were you?" she was a bit shock by his admission.
James: No, Naddie, I've been so into you so long, I can't remember when it even Started. All I know, is that I can't lose you, not again! Naddie, " he was holding her hands now.
Nadine: But, you told everyone there's no chance for us, and you said it so adamantly! wait! is this a prank? James! this isn't funny!" she shoved at his chest, so he pulled her closer to him.
James: Oh, Naddie, I wish I could undo this feelings I have for you, but I can't! I'm in too deep now, And why do you think i'd make out with girls only when I'm drunk?" he asked
Nadine: I don't know! you tell me!" she became irritated with him, as much as she listen to him blabber about his dates and paramore, she was hurting because she knew she'd only have him on screen and never off of it. It became a constant battle, just to hide her feelings for him. And she knew all along that she couldn't not fall for him. Aside from his Godly looks, she knew that his heart is pure, he was the best guy friend, or best friend anybody can have, and although she's really happy with the friendship he's offering her. She can't help but feel jealous of the girls he's lavishing his attention from the time being. And everytime he told her about it. She has to nurse her hurting heart silently, and pretend to smile and laugh and be happy for him. Because he deserves it.
The perfect guy, who deserves the perfect girl, and she knew, she's far from the perfect girl, she knew, everybody knew. Some people even air out their opinions about her on social media.
James: Nadz! are you even listening to me?" he was lightly shaking her
James: I said, I love you!"
Nadine:------------------
James: Nadz, say something!
Nadine : Kilig Ako!!
Nadine gave him the brightest smile he's ever seen, and hugged him!
James: well?
Nadine: Oh, Ummm.. I love you too! " she said while hugging him to her.
after their exchange of i love you's, everything became a bit brighter for the lovebirds, they would touch or hold each other way too long after the director yells CUT! They would have that longing glances towards each other, and would giggle like kids, if they've been caught staring at each other.
By noon, they were already having lunch break and preparing for another scene after. When Nadine was staring at her phone, seemingly fixated on it. James could feel the tension on her, And he forgot about what he was about to say before, when he blurted out that he loves her. Nadine felt him touch her shoulder, and instead of feeling comfort, she wanted to vomit, " let him explain, it's not like you don't know how manipulative this girl is" she thought to herself. Nadine took a deep breath and faced James, Start explaining, And start from the part after you went from the parking lot where welast saw each other." she said calmly, Way too calmly, James thought. So he explained everything that happened the night before, in details, all the insults, that was thrown. Everything. He didn't left out not even the smallest of details, not even the fan that asked for a picture with him.
Nadine: Okay, that sounds, believable. She mused
James: Nadz! what do you mean believable? it's the truth!"
Nadine: There are always two sides to every story James, remember that" she countered.
James: well, do you trust her to tell you the truth?"
Nadine: I'll consider her words, only after I talk to her.
James: How are you gonna do that?"
Nadine: for starters, you can give me your phone so we can call her."
James: I don't even have her number!" he was exasperated now,
Nadine: Too bad, don't worry, I have my ways, I'm sure jelly wouldn't mind asking for her number from his other make up artists friends.
James: Wow, we're just like 1 day into our relationship, and we're already fighting for this stupid nonsense."
Nadine: Oh, I didn't know we're already in a relationship, does I love means we should DTR?
James: Nadz, " he said in a warning tone, she can't help but smile at him, their first fight as a couple, it made her feel giddy, even if she was a bit mad at him. But she knew too well how showbiz Industry works, if there's no issue, create one, doesn't matter if it's true, as long as it's written on some trashy tabloids, people would believe it.
James: what are you smiling about?" he asked, but can't help the smile forming on his on lips.
