The girl couldn’t remember anything. Well, she couldn’t remember any personal information would be a more accurate statement. She still knew 2 + 2 = 4 and that the United Regions was divided into four separate regions. But she didn’t know her name, her age or where she was.
She sat up from the unfamiliar cot she was lying on and looked about her. The room she was in had a sterile feel to it; everything, from the sheets to the tiles to walls, was a bright white color. She swung her legs around and felt her feet hit the cool floor. She shivered; the flimsy nightgown she donned did little to shield her from the chilly air being blown through the ventilation.
She crossed the room and approached the door in long, fluid strides. The door was locked. Not sure what to do, the girl returned to her bed and fell asleep.
