Light and Darkness
Around me is light,
Sparkling through the trees,
Dancing through the clouds,
Harmonising with the birds.
Around me is dark,
Darkening my path,
Darkening my sight,
Ruining everything.
Light is life.
The beauty of the world
Is demonstrated through light.
Especially natural light.
Darkness is death.
Its inevitability hangs,
Like a shadow,
Dampening a summer's day.
A summer's day,
Previously filled with light,
Can be ended by a person
Taking flight.
One moment, the sun
Burns its rays on their face.
The next, the darkness
Sears pain into their chest.
Pain of loss.
Pain of regret.
Pain of sadness.
Pain of fear.
Pain that will last forever.
A/N I won't be doing many A/N's in this book, but this one's important.
Whenever I write a new poem, the night before I post it, I will update the cover with kind of a sneak peak sort of thing added to the other pictures. For Glint, I had the eye (which will be permanent) and for Light and Darkness I had the new background (also permanent), and it will continue like this until either I run out of poems or the cover looks tacky.
Thanks for reading, guys! Remember to vote and comment your opinions, and please check out my book: The Secret Lives of One Direction (it's basically only using their names; if you're not much of a fan but like paranormal stuff, give it a look please). Feel free to follow! :)
