The Robin and the Raven

When I was at school,

I had no friends.

I was alone and I was sad,

And nobody cared.

When I was at school,

I was bullied.

She abused me,

Physically and mentally.

When I was at school,

I watched a raven outside.

It would swoop and squawk,

Angry, lonely, yet majestic.

When I was at school,

I watched the robin outside.

It was surrounded by 'friends',

And they all seemed to laugh at the raven.

When I was at school,

I one day noticed something different.

The raven grew furious,

And attacked the robin.

When I was at school,

I was bullied.

I followed an example.

I stood up to that bully.

When I was at school,

I watched as the raven was driven away

By the robin's friends.

Just before I was driven away from school.

When I was at school,

I copied a raven.

I got expelled for standing against

A bully named Robin.

When I was at school,

I watched the robin and the raven.

I still hate that robin.

I am that Raven.
