A/N All for you Sophia, by Franz Ferdinand.

Ashton stood up, wiping his sweaty hands on his pants. Still breathing heavily, he turned to Cameron and said "He was forcing himself on that girl." and that was when Cameron finally took notice of me.

I immediately covered my eyes again and tried to control my crying in an attempt to hold onto my last little shred of dignity. I could hear footsteps sounding towards me, and I cried even harder into my hands.

"Amber ? Amber ? Amber, look at me. It's okay. You're safe now. It's okay." I could feel a pair of hands touching mine, gently trying to pry them away from my face. I slowly uncovered my eyes, fearing that River would still be there. Instead, through my tears I found Cameron's face inches from mine.

Despite the ordeal I had just went through, my breath hitched. We were so close that we could've kissed right there, right then. At that moment, I forgot about everything else. I forgot about the fact that I could've been raped. I forgot about Ashton, who was still standing at River's feet. I even forgot about River himself.

It was just me and Cameron, staring into each other's eyes.

Then he pulled away and stood up, still staring at me. In sympathy ? In confusion ? In disgust ?

"Um, are you okay ?" He asked, extending his hand towards me, offering to help me up.

"Y-Y-Yeah. I'm fine." I replied, taking his hand and letting him help me up. Avoiding looking at Cameron, I then turned my attention to River, who was slowly crawling away from Ashton. Ashton surged forward to pull him back, but I stopped him "L-Let him go."

Ashton looked up at me in surprise. "You sure ? I can hold him down for you while you slap him however many times you want."

"Ash, I don't think Amber can even bear to look at him right now." Cameron interjected, voicing my thoughts exactly.

"Oh. Yeah, of course. Come on River, let me help you out." Ashton said and pulled River up by his shirt. I watched as he guided- or make that forced- River into the next corridor. It wasn't until I could no longer hear their footsteps that my heart finally began to return to normal. River was gone. I was safe.

"Amber, you sure you're okay ?" Cameron asked concernedly.

"Yeah." I said, wiping away the last of my tears. Pull yourself together, Amber.

"Well, I'm gonna call Savan-"

"No, don't ! Please. She's gonna tell Mom and Mom's probably gonna march over to the Hale's house and make River's mom ground him for like 10 years, or even worse go to the police and file a sexual harassment complaint or something."

"We can't not tell Savannah. She's your sister."

"Please." I begged him, my voice shaking. "Even if Mom doesn't do anything, I can't have them both treating me like a glass sculpture. Besides, I'm okay." I insisted, even though I was trembling.

"You don't look okay, Amber."

"Please, just don't call Savannah. Let's keep this between us and Ashton. I can't bear for anyone else to find out either."
