Rhett's POV-
Tears stung my eyes as I held her in my arms. At first I couldn't believe it, and I was afraid if I let go, I would wake up from the dream. But it wasn't a dream. She was in my arms again- where she belonged. I thought I had lost my chance, but she gave me another chance, and I couldn't mess it up this time.
"Y'know, I really hate to ruin this perfect moment we're having, but I am wicked hungry." I heard her state as she looked up to meet my eyes.
A chuckle escaped my lips as I looked down to see my girl again, with her perfect timing and all.
"Well then, let's go find our food." I suggested.
"Brilliant plan, Einstein." She replied sarcastically as a smirk tugged at her lips.
My lips curled into a grin as I wrapped an arm around her shoulder and proceeded to walk out of the large office.
"Where do you think you're going?" She chuckled as she hesitantly walked along.
"Food, duh." I replied, keeping my cocky grin.
"I think it would be wise for you to remove your arm from its current position." She remarked, but it only encouraged me to fully wrap my arms around her body.
"I'm not letting you go any time soon. I just got you again." I grinned as I nuzzled into her hair and neck.
"That's wicked cute in a super cliche kind of way, but you need to be a bit more practical. Y'know, use that common sense." She said, gently patting my head.
I saw what she was getting at. It would appear as if we randomly hooked up in a matter of minutes. But if the truth was revealed, who knows how it would effect relationships. I was most worried about telling Link. I couldn't ruin our friendship, or theirs for that matter, but I wasn't going to keep this a secret. I wanted to show how much she meant to me, but the process of how to do that is the problem.
I sighed and released my grip on her, turning to face her icy blue eyes. A small grin held on her face as she beamed with happiness. I saw my pixie again- my little sparkle fairy, and I couldn't have been happier.
"You're right." I nodded solemnly. "How are we going to go about all of this?" I asked.
"Well, we could always start out all sexy and secretive, like the good old days." She murmured with a flirty wink, "But, I mean, I really don't wanna have to keep that up. I just would hate to mess things up with Link." She sighed with a furrowed brow.
"Should we tell him?" I asked, breaking the long pause.
"I think we should." She whispered, looking into my eyes with a new look of timidness and vulnerability.
"We'll do it whenever you're ready. But for now, I suggest we just take things slow and try to start over." I suggested with a soft grin.
"Sounds good to me." She grinned. "Now seriously, I need food or else I'm just gonna shut down." She complained, pressing her hand against her toned stomach.
"Alright, grumpy. Let's go feed you." I teased, opening the office door.
Ok. I know this is incredibly short compared to what I normally do, but I really just wanted to get something published, and I thought this blurb was pretty cute by its self :) I'll have another regular update soon
