Chapter16- Back to Old Ways

I pushed Andrew off of me causing my body to land on my chair with a thump. Matthew still stood looking rather surprised but he eventually recovered and began talking.

"Well you seem busy. I will be back later" He muttered quickly turning around to leave.

"Matthew! Wait" I cried out making Andrew jumped next to me.

Matthew turned around and just stared at me with a blank expression but his eyes showed hurt.

"This is Andrew. Andrew this is Matthew my friend, alot like a bestfriend" I introduced awkwardly.

"Nice to meet you man" Andrew held out his hand but Matthew refused to shake it.

"Yeah wish I could say the same" Matthew muttered under his breath but we all heard.

"Hey Evana, can I talk to you a minute. Alone" Matthew asked angrily.

"Okay" I replied confused.

I pressed the intercom buzzer to speak to Jamie.

"Jamie please carry Mr.Richards to the conference room to begin preparing the contracts" I instructed. Two minutes later Jamie came into my office and directed Andrew to follow her.

I was left alone with an angry Matthew.

We stood silent for a great while before he spoke.

"Evangeline please don't do this. Please don't go back to him. I have been there for you in the night, I have made sure you have had lunch everyday, I support you and I don't wanna see you hurt. You cant have them both" Matthew pleaded.

"Matt" I whispered nervously.

"No Evana! If you let him back in your life... its asking to be fucked in your ass. Your pregnant. Remember that" he mourned quietly.

"I am remembering and my kids need a daddy" I whispered not making eye contact ashamed that I was going back to my old ways.

"Evana if you do this then that's it with us. We can no longer do this" he scolded.

"Matthew please don't" I begged.

"No Evana I can't stand here and watch them both use you" he muttered disgusted.

He gave me one last look before storming out my office. That was that, I lost my bestfriend.
