"Thea get the fuck up its almost noon" shouted Carac from the other side of the room they rented. "Five more minutes" mumbled Thea, who was still half asleep. "You said five more minutes three hours ago. Come on we have to go," said Carac as he threw Thea's rugsack at her. "Can't you just go hunting on your own today? PLEASE!" Begged Thea as she sat up in her bed. " Hah no.Get up and be ready to leave in ten minutes," shouted Carac as he already left the room. "Asshole," mumbled Thea. She got dressed and took any items from the room that the owners of the inn would consider valuable. "I wonder if they would notice if I took a floorboard" she thought, letting out a small chuckle as Carac re-entered the room. "Oh look who is finally awake," mumbled Carac in his usual tone. "Good morning to you too twat maggot," joked Thea, receiving a grin from Carac. "Your bow and dagger are hanging at the entrance I'll wait outside for you, and for crying out load don't steal anything, said Carac. "Can't promise anything. I'll see you there," said Thea  with a sly grin on her face.

The forest was slightly eerie with a layer of fog covering the floor. Carac and Thea had been tracking a deer for over four hours now and the trail was running cold. "Can't we just go back now. There's nothing out here," complained Carac. "You keep talking and there definetly wont be anything out here," mumbled Thea angrily. "Five more minutes and we will go ok?" Thea sighed out."Fine by me," Carac said through a grin.
Five minutes passed in silence and the two companions began to leave. As Thea and Carac were about to head back to the main track, a hushed whisper was heard from behind her. "Carac what the hell! Stop," she growled angrily. "Stop what? Im not doing anything,"exclaimed Carac. The whisper was heard again, louder this time and the sounds of sticks breaking behind Carac led the two teenagers to draw their weapons, Carac a steel sword and shield and Thea a long, wooden bow. Thea took aim, listening for anymore whispers or breaking sticks but heard nothing. Carac who was still paranoid about the noise, began searching through the bushes that surrounded the two teens. Thea was distracted and never noticed a hooded figure appear behind Carac, injecting him with a potion causing him to fall to the ground in a deep sleep. Hearing the thump, Thea assumed that Carac had found their persuer and walked over to were she last saw the boy.In his place a hooded figure was waiting. The figure had piercing blue eyes that appeared to be glowing from under the hood. The figure stared in Thea's direction before bowing its head at her and disappeared. In its place was a note that read:

Thea
This is going to be the only time we communicate with you. You and your friend have been chosen to lead a band of warriors to destroy the ember stone. The names of your fellow warriors who you must track down are on the back of this note.

We hope you all can save us.

Thea read the front of the note over and over again. "This makes no sense whatsoever,"she thought."Maybe you should check and see if Carac is awake yet genius." Looking over at her friend, she saw him still sleeping. Letting out an sigh, she turned the note over to exam the names:

Thea
Carac
Bor
Jarin
Ryia
Ayleth
Merek

Thea carefully examed each name again and again."This is complete bull!" She yelled into the quiet forest, birds stopping there singing momentarily before continuing. "Why us? Why are we so fucking special that you chose us?"
She let out a frustrated sigh. She was angry and took it out on an old, dying tree with her bow.

With an arrow drawn from the quiver, she aimed her bow at the trunk of the tree. She felt the adrenalin coursing through her as she fired

"Nice shot,"

No sooner had the unfamiliar voice said these words, Thea had her dagger drawn and placed at the figures neck." Who are you?" Questioned Thea, making sure she showed aggression in her voice. "Im Doran,"spoke the figure who she couldn't see due to a hood being over his head. She recognised his eyes as the ones that she saw earlier. "Lisen. Im very confused as to why I have this letter and you should keep in mind im also fucking pissed off. Now are you going to tell me about the letter and if I need to punch my friend to wake him up? Or am I going to have to make you tell me?" She growled. "Well I can tell you about the letter if you get that dagger away from my neck and your friend is only asleep for another hour or so," laughed Doran. Thea hesitated before lifting the dagger away from him, but kept it in her hand. "Talk," she mumbled

"You have been chosen as one of the warriors to destroy the ember stone. It is a powerful gem capible of wiping out entire species almost instantly. My masters created the ember stone to give life to the world but an evil overlord named Krea stole the gem and cursed it. You need to recruit the five other people named on the list and work together to destroy the gem and Krea. Krea is weak as when she cursed the stone, she gave part of herself to it. But she grows stronger with each passing minute and she needs to be stopped soon. I have a two gifts for you. One is a note containing a description of each warrior you need to recruit and there current location. Its enchanted so it changes whenever they move to somewhere else. My second gift for you is an ability. I've noticed you are a good shot with an arrow but now whenever you aim, time will slow down allowing you to choose your target carefully and hit every time. I have also granted abilities to each of your new compainons as well as your friend here. I have to leave now but we will meet again. I can assure you."

Thea awoke on the ground in a cold sweat. She sat up, feeling her head pound with a headache. She looked around the forest floor, noticing a camp had been set up where her and Carac had last stopped. She looked around for her companion, finding him skinning a rabbit he had caught in a trap. "Morning sunshine," she laughed out. Carac turned around with a frown on his face fron the joke Thea just made. "You've been asleep for two days. When I woke up you were lying in a pool of blood. What happened to you?" Asked Carac. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you,"smirked Thea. "Try me," laughed Carac "We have to stop some beeach from destryoing humanity," Thea tried to say in a serious tone. "Wow ok your right I dont believe you." "Thanks for the suppo- Hang on."Thea began rummaging through her backpack and pulled out the note before handing it to Carac."Read this I need to look for something." Carac gave Thea an over exaggerated sigh and began reading the note over as Thea managed to find the other note Doran had left for her.

Ryia
Ryia lives on the outskirts of the small mining village of Alvulstien. She is well able to protect herself and should be approached with caution as she has been shown to be dangerous. Take precautions around her and don't offend her.

Current location: Alvulstien inn

Thea began reading the description of the first person the two companions had to recruit. She didnt think much of the name at the time but now it played over and over in her head. "Surely not THAT Ryia," she thought. "Thea? You ok? This is alot to take in but I know this isn't your writing so I believe you. And my head still hurts from falling. Just saying," joked Carac but Thea hadnt heard him. She had gone completly pale. "Thea? Hello?" Carac tried to get her attention by clicking his fingers in front of her which seemed to work. "Huh? What?"She asked, looking around confused. "What does that note say?" Carac asked before taking the note from her hands and began reading it. "Ok so lets go to Alvulstien and get this Ryia girl or whatever." Carac said as he began packing up his supplies. "I need to tell you something," sighed Thea. "This girl. Ryia. She was actually my best friend growing up. The night we met I told you I was running away. I was running to Alvulstien to see her. But I hadn't seen her properly in over ten years because my parents moved away from there before they died. I couldn't leave the orphanage to see her during the day and I never kept in contact with her. I snuck out at night sometimes to see her but stopped before I ran away. So I don't think she's going to be happy to see me," Thea managed to say between sobs as the memory of her friend upset her. Carac tried to comfort his friend, assuring her that they will be fine and Ryia would be happy to see her.
