The gargoyle released a low snarl as it sniffed the air to find its prey. Thea watched helplessly as the monster slowly made its way over to Carac. Ryia was lying still in the old trunk as the gargoyle passed her. Thea made her decision on who she would help.
She charged out into the opening, making sure to grab Carac's sword from the werewolfs neck. The gargoyle charged for her. Ryia tried to focus her power on tripping the gargoyle up, realising that the beast was probably to powerful for her to push. Just as all hope seemed lost, an idea came into her head. A stupid idea, but if it worked they could all be alive.
"Throw the sword!" shouted Ryia. "What? Hell no!" shouted Thea as she led the gargoyle around the opening. "Just do it for god sake!" she yelled back. "Fine but I don't know what your planning." Thea threw the sword in the gargoyles direction just as Ryia focused on the weapon. She commanded it to spear its heart, causing the gargoyle to shatter into pieces.
Ryia hauled herself out of the log, running over to see if Carac was alright. He was still unconscious but most of his wounds were already healing, except for a long claw mark running along his chest. The two girls dragged the boy to a nearby stream, not looking forward to what they would have to do next.
"We need to check the wound," said Ryia, almost regretting saying it from the look Thea gave her. "Right well have fun with that," she replied. "I'm going to need help you know," mumbled Ryia. "Yeah. But if he wakes up we will never hear the end of the fact we took his armor off," she laughed. "Ugghh don't start," groaned Ryia as she tried to remove Carac's top half of his armor. "The armors fucked anyway," said Thea. "We can just say the wolf tried to eat him." Ryia gave Thea a raised eyebrow, letting Thea know her plan was stupid. Thea laughed it off as she headed to the stream to fill a mug with water.
The stream ran a clear colour, the sky reflecting slightly off of it.
Small stones were gently being flown away with the current, being pushed even further as Thea walked through the stream lost in thought."Ok so lets go find this Ryia girl."
The words played over and over in her head. She hadn't noticed it before, but Carac had reacted to Ryia's name as if he never heard of her before. It was confusing. "He probably was still recovering from falling on the ground," she thought. "That definitely was what happened. Right?"
Darkness.
All he saw was darkness. His head hurt. His arms hurt. His chest hurt. "Everything hurts," he groaned as he sat up. He was still in the forest but completly alone. Thea and Ryia were nowhere to be seen. "Ah your finally awake," said a very eerie voice. "I've been waiting for you Carac." Carac stared at the person who was speaking. It was a woman, dark-haired and fairly thin. "You've been asleep for so long. We thought you would never wake up." Carac continued to stare at the mysterious woman. "Who are you?" He asked. "I apologise. Not many people act as sane when they wake up here. My name is Krea."
