Krea paced around Carac, who was now standing his ground in a defensive way. "I'm not going to hurt you...physically," she laughed. "That is, if you're going to make a wise decision within the next five minutes." Carac stared the woman down, flashing anger in his eyes. "I won't listen to you. We will stop you," he shouted at her. "Oh please. You and what army? You're alone here. I own you here. This is my home. You have no choice but to listen," the woman retaliated with a smirk stretching across her lips. "And you will do exactly as I say. When I say it."
Carac knew what was about to happen. And all he hoped was that Ryia and Thea could bring him back. A low rumble shook the ground as he faded into darkness once again.
"He should be awake by now," sighed Ryia. "We need to move and find Bor." Thea paced the room that the three teenagers were staying in. The innkeeper had let them in for the night on condition that they cleared a cave of bandits causing trouble."I could go. I'd be back before the week is over," Thea offered. "No way. Look what happened the last time you went out alone," yelled Ryia as she changed Carac's bandage. "Last thing I need is you both in a coma." Thea gave her friend a smile. "Glad to know you worry about me,"she joked. Ryia gave out a small laugh, turning her attention back to Carac. Thea sat down at the end of her bed. "What did you do during those two years?" She asked Ryia. "Ah...nothing really. I just did an odd job every now and then. The most drama I was involved in was with that man back in Alvulstein," answered Ryia. Thea gave her friend a worried look. "Wanna talk about it?" Ryia smiled at the question. "There's not much to say. He stole something from my home awhile ago. I couldn't prove it to the villagers but im satisfied with the punishment he recieved from beating that girl." Word had reached from Alvulstein that the man had been hanged. "Well its over now," said Thea in a relieved tone. "What about you?" asked Ryia. "What about me? I didn't do anything really. I just travelled around. Saw different places. Stuff like that." Thea liked talking to Ryia again. It made her happy. She was about to ask Ryia another question before being interrupted by Carac suddenly shaking Violently.
It was dark. Carac could feel a light breeze against his back. A slight chill ran down his back. He was in the forest. Alone. Unarmed. And cold. He didn't know what to do. So all he did was run.
"Holy crap!" Shouted Ryia as she rushed over to Carac's bedside. "What do we do," she asked Thea. "I dont know. Just don't hold him down," she replied in a worried tone. The claw marks on his chest were reopened from all the shaking, as Carac suddenly grew still. Ryia checked for a pulse on his wrist. Then his neck. "I can't find it. Oh fuck. Ok. I have an idea. I dont know if this will work but let me see." Ryia leaned her hands on the side of the bed, closing her eyes as she began to focus on Carac's heart. Thea watched in amazement. She could feel the energy around the three of them. Ryia began to struggle to keep her focus. Her eyes glowing a bright red as she opened them, wincing in pain and letting out a cry of agony. "Your hurting yourself. Stop!" Thea yelled at her, unable to get her attention. She grabbed her arm in an attempt to capture her attention but to no avail. The energy was growing around Carac. His wound bleeding out. Ryia lost her focus and collapsed on the floor in tears. Thea rushed to her aid, helping her to sit up. They both sat on the ground, sobbing in each others arms as they mourned over the loss of their friend.
His feet were bleeding. He was covered in blood and dirt. The adrenalin pumped through his veins. He enjoyed the feeling. The feeling of being free under the moonlight. He ran further into the forest, not looking at the strange faces the wildlife seemed to make.
"I...I tried...,"sobbed Ryia. "I know,"cried Thea. He shouldn't be dead. He couldn't be. His name was on the note.
The note....
Thea scrambled over to her bag. Searching aimlessly for the first note she recieved. It wasnt there.
"Fuck. No. Not now. Come on it has to be in here. FUCKING HELL!" she yelled. The note was gone. Vanished. She threw her bag on the floor as tears streamed down her face. A sheet of paper stuck out of the front pocket. Thea picked it up and began to read.Be ready
There coming
Find the others
Tie him down"Tie him down? What?" She looked over at Carac. Ryia looked at Thea, then a Carac. She stared at what Thea was looking at.
Carac was breathing.
And growing
And snarling
And drooling
And was about to pounce at the two girls.
