Chapter 34

Jennifer's POV

*2 weeks later*

It was a casual Wednesday. I was making Harry's coffee before he went to work. I was still nine months pregnant. I just want these babies to come already. I've been so uncomfortable these past two weeks I just need them out. My mom says they'll come soon and my doctor agrees with her. She said that they'll pop out any day now and I'm honestly excited and terrified at the same time. What if im not a good mother? What if they don't like me? My thoughts were quickly interrupted by Harry walking up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist and planting a soft kiss on my shoulder.

"Good morning baby." He smiled and I turned around in his arms.

"Good morning my love." I wrapped my arms around his neck and pecked his lips.

"What are the plans for today guys?" he asked, smiling and then giving my stomach a light kiss.

"Well, I was going to go over to Leah's for girl time today and then meet you back here. We can order in if that's okay with you? I really don't feel like cooking today if im being honest." I said as I handed him his cup of coffee.

"That's fine baby. Whatever you want." he smiled and kissed me again.

"I love you." I said sweetly as I pulled him in for another long kiss.

"I love you more." he said as he pulled away grinning. "I've got to go baby. Ill see all three of you later. I love you. Have a good day." he pulled me in for a kiss and a hug.

"I love you too. Don't work too hard." I smirked and he put on his coat and walked out the door.

I went upstairs and changed for my day with Leah. We are just going to hang out at her house all day and watch movies and talk. Regular girl things. I haven't gotten to talk to her much and I feel bad. So im going to make it up by asking her to be the god mother of my babies. I really hope she says yes.

In less than an hour im already out of the door and 5 minutes away from Leah's house. Once I pull up I honk the car horn and I see her open her door laughing. I get out of the car and am greeted by a loud as fuck Leah Remini.

"Hey bitch. Haven't seen you around!" she yells as I approach her and her front door.

"Well hello to you too Leah." I laughed and gave her a huge hug, which she gratefully returned.

"C'mon in everything Is ready for you and your munchkins." she smiles and takes my hand leading me inside.

We sat down in her living room and talked for a good 2 hours before we ordered pizza and started watching movies. I love watching movies with Leah because she creates her own commentary on the little things  and they never fail to make me laugh. We were half through our 3rd sappy love movie when I got up to go get a water from the fridge.

As I was walking into the kitchen I stopped because I felt something between my legs but I thought nothing of it and continued walking. I got my water and as I was walking out of the kitchen I stepped in something wet. I looked down and my sweats were soaking wet and so was the floor.

"Oh shit." I whispered to myself.

"Jen come back in here! This part is my favorite!" Leah yelled from the living room.

"Leahhh?" I yelled from my spot in the kitchen.

"What?" she yelled back.

"Come here for a minute please. Now." I yelled through gritted teeth because now I could feel contractions start to happen.

"Ughh." I heard her groan. "What? That's like the best part in the whole-" she stopped as soon as she saw me gripping the counter and my soaked sweats. "Oh shit."

"Take me to a hospital now. Please." I said as she rushed to me.

Harry's POV

I was sitting in a meeting at work when my phone started vibrating. I looked at the caller ID and it read "Leah" I excused myself and went outside to answer it.

"Leah?" I asked confused.

"Hey baby. Its me." I heard Jennifer's voice and was even more confused. She sounded out of breath and I got worried.

"Jen? Baby, why are you calling off of Leah's phone? Are you okay?" I asked worried.

"Yeah I'm-" she didn't finish her sentence before I heard groans of pain and heavy breathing.

"Jennifer?" I practically shouted.

"Give me the god damn phone." I heard Leah's voice. "Harry. Listen to me. Im taking Jennifer to the hospital, her water broke. Meet us there if you want to be there for your children's births," I heard Jen yelling at Leah to hurry up," Oops gotta go. Be there in 10 minutes Harry or you'll deal with me." and with that she hung up.

I ran into the conference office and grabbed my things as fast as I could.

"Where are you going Connick?" my boss asked confused.

"I'm sorry sir. My fiancé is going into labor. May I-?" I asked basically pleading.

"What are you still doing here?! Go!" He chuckled.

"Thank you so much Sir." I smiled and ran out of the huge conference room.

I ran to my car and jumped in as fast as I could. I sped out of the parking lot and into a nearly empty freeway. It was still working hours so not many people were out on the roads. I stepped on the gas and drove to the hospital. I got about 5 minutes away from the hospital when I reached a red light.

I stopped and my mind was finally processing everything that was happening and everything that was about to happen.

I am going to be a dad.

I am going to be a husband.

I am going to have a family.

When I started thinking about all of that I had so many emotions and thoughts go through my head. Am I ready? Do I want to do this? Is Jennifer thinking these things too? I was excited and nervous to the point where I wanted to throw up. My mind was pulled out of its thoughts when the car behind me honked his horn and I looked up to green light.

I sped off to the hospital and reached it in three minutes tops. I ran to the entrance of the huge white building and stopped. My heart was racing and I could barely breathe. Only one thought went through my mind at that moment.

Jennifer.

I took the biggest breath of my life and closed my eyes.

We are going to be okay.

And with that I ran into that hospital and never looked back.
