Voldemort's life had a lot to do with his nose, whether you believe it or not.
First of all, why was he so evil?
There are many reasons why, actually.
But one fairly likely event that changed Old Voldy's life for the worse was the removal/destruction/whatever of his nose.
As a child, Tom Riddle had a nose. But...Tommy was shy and quiet, almost scared of other kids.
Scared of magic.
Why? Well, duh. A wizard told Tommy that he would magically destroy his nose.
Later, Tom went to Hogwarts to learn magic. Why did Tom agree to go to Hogwarts? Duh, so he could defend his precious nose.
Okay...here's what we know so far:
Tom Riddle was about 11 years old and he was average kid. He loved his precious nose. Then, Random Wizard threatened to magick Tom's nose off. Tom became very quiet and defensive. He also kept his beautiful nose safe. Then, Dumbledore asked if Tom wanted to go to Hogwarts. Tom said yes so he could defend his nose with magic.
Caught up so far? Great!
