Today was like any other day, got up, and went to school. Everyday before we go to class, we have to sit in the gym til we are dismissed.

I'm usually the first one of my friends to get in the gym. So I'll usually pick at my nail polish or argue in my head about how much I hate the popular kids.

The popular kids consist of Morgan, Kaitlyn, and Gabrielle.

I always just watch them put on their new lipgloss flavors or braid each others hair while they sing lyrics of songs by Taylor Swift and Austin Mahone.

My best friends consist of Jacob and Casandra.

Casandra is really nice, even though I don't talk A lot, she doesn't care to have a long conversation with me while I just sit and listen.

I'm not good at talking, I'm a good listener, even though I may not seem like I am listening, I am. She seems to be the only one who gets that. Everyone else just waved their hands Infront of my face or goes "Helllooooooo?!" Like I'm on another planet.

Then there is Jacob. Jacob is the only guy friend I've really had and he's sorta cute I guess. He's really nice and in my short time knowing him, I've never seen anything bad about him. He doesn't swear, lie, or give away secrets.

Well, I bet he has lied, swore, and have away secrets before, but not around me.

Anyways, I sat and listened to the popular kids talk about how stupid the computer nerds are and how ugly the poor kids are.

I never talk just listen, in my own little world.

Jacob was the first to come in to the gym. "Hey Paige! I got you something." He said smiling. "Really?" I whispered.

I'm a really quiet talker, I've never been known to be loud. Unlike Casandra, who screams every sentence she says. But I don't mind.

I opened the box while I blushed trying to hide it from him. Inside was a brown journal that had a gold trim.

"I.. I know you like journaling and doodling. This is in case you run out of pages in your pink princess diary with stickers!" We both laughed. "You're right. It's a little foolish." I said pushing my bangs back. "Nah, I think it's pretty cool.. Creative."

We had a long look-into-each-others-eyes moment. Which seemed like it lasted forever. Jacob was the crush boy in the grade. All the girls would always pile on top of him claiming him as their own.

"Doesn't seem like Casandra is here today." I said looking around the gym.

"HEY LOOSER!" Gabrielle yelled. "Leave her alone." Said Jacob. Her face went as red as a fire truck. "Oh Jacob. I didn't mean her... I was just.. Mimicking my brother.. Robbie." "You don't have a brother." Said Jacob.

I laughed silently. Gabrielle turned around and squeezed the other popular girls hand named Kaitlyn.

"You just proved her wrong." I said laughing. "Yeah. What have you been working on in your book?" He asked.

"Me?" I asked. "Haha, yeah you. Nooo The invisible Casandra." We both laughed. I reached into my aqua blue backpack and pulled out my pink book.

"I mean.. It's nothing great. Nothing really at all. Just doodles and, personal stuff." I said looking at him. Jacobs eyes suddenly became huge. "It's fine. You don't have to read it. I mean you can, you don't have to." He said twiddling his thumbs.

"Jacob and Paige!" I heard. It was Mrs. Cosgrove. The most annoying teacher in our school. "I called your grade five minutes ago! Get to class before I send you to the office." She said pointing to the door.

I walked to class. Me and Jacob didn't talk much. Right when I stepped in the class room door what when the chaos started.
