A few months had passed since my last big case. Nothing out of the ordinary had happened. Basic cases: robberies, break ins, but nothing exciting. I had rarely seen Sherlock, he was busy doing whatever he does, and I was busy working. I was a bit disappointed. After our last big case I thought things were taking a step in the right direction with Sherlock, but I must have been wrong. He was never going to change his ways of solidarity, and I knew it. I really wanted things to work out with Sherlock, he completely took my breath away.
The holidays were coming up and I was lucky enough to earn a few days of vacation. It was only three days and a weekend, but a vacation none the less. I could finally take a break, get some sleep, do some shopping, and just roam the city.
Since I've moved to London I really haven't had time to get settled in. I had a few things to check off my list, and first was going to the bank. I had to open up an account so I could start depositing my paychecks and apply for a new credit card so I didn't have to pay for everything in cash.
After I threw on a casual light blue dress I walked outside to hail a cab. When I got to the bank I saw a growing line to get to the tellers. No wonder people usually shot up banks, these people look like they've been waiting for hours.
The line continued to grow, by now I had been waiting for about 30 minutes and my patience was growing thin. People were pushing through the line to get to the other side of the hall, since we were causing a road block. Someone had just pushed through the line behind me, making me stumble forward slightly.
"Hey, watch it!" I said rudely, turning around. Then I saw him. HIM.
"Oh Adelaide, perfect, come with me." Sherlock said dragging me out of line and down the hall, "I could use another set of eyes on this one."
"Sherlock!" I yelled quietly. "What the hell are you doing?"
"Working a case." He said casually.
"Nice to see you too." I scoffed, breaking free of his grip and walking beside him, pouting.
"Where have you been for the last few months?" I asked insensitively.
"Where have you been?" He retorted.
