Nancy Drew was sitting on her bed, flickering through the channels her TV offered,

"Just the same old stuff, nothing interesting to really watch." she sighed, flickering through the channels, then she realized that she was flickering through the news channels.

Eventually stopping at channel 608 (Don't even ask why) she laid back onto her bed, hoping for something interesting to end the boredom.

"Come on, TV, help me out for once!" Then eventually, some words flashed on the screen saying "BREAKING NEWS!" Nancy quickly leaped up and kept her eyes peeled to the TV, hoping for something interesting,

"This is just in, there is a home on some street that is empty, but someone broke in and placed a bomb inside the home. There will be a 168 hour clock on the corner of your TV while watching this channel, which means you all will have a week to find the house and it's treasures. To sign up for the contest, please ca-" The TV screen froze and the audio jumped right into the next story,

Nancy sighed and walked downstairs, but only to be welcomed by Hannah Gruen's delicious cooking,

Nancy walked into the kitchen, seeing waffles on a plate and a bottle of maple syrup next to it, "Good morning!" Hannah said, rinsing the dirt off of the mixed berries.

"Good morning to you too! And uhh, where's Dad?" she replied,

"He's in the living room, watching the TV, Go sit down and eat please while I go get him, and the berries are for the toppings, and they are ready." she had said, then she walked into the living room.

Nancy grabbed a couple of berries and sorted them on her waffles, then pouring maple syrup on it, then sat down and took a bite of her waffle.

Then Mr. Drew and Hannah came into the kitchen and sat at the table as well, making their waffles to their liking,

She finally spoke up about house and it's mysteriousness to both her father and Hannah,

Mr. Drew had spoke up and said "That's quite mysterious, and why would they make it sound like a contest?" he asked in confusion,

"Oh dear. I guess I never noticed the 'sound-like-a-contest' stuff!" she replied, and then quickly she stood up and said "I am going to ask our neighbors who always watch 608, Maybe I'll find a clue!"

"Be safe!" Hannah said,

Nancy walked to the door and went outside and looked both ways, then she crossed the road over to the neighbor's house.
