Chapter 5: Dinner to Permission

A/N: If any of you are wondering why the title of this chapter is 'Dinner to Permission' is well.. You'll see in the end.

Nancy had walked upstairs, already aware that she had to call the Tera's soon. She went into the bathroom and leaned against the sink counter, looking for her hairbrush.

"Found it!" Nancy said happily as she picked up the blue hairbrush and brushed her hair, then hair spraying it to get out the static.

Nancy then walked over to her bedroom and grabbed her phone off her dresser, she turned her phone on and clicked on James's number,

After one dial, someone picked up,

"WHO IS ON THE PHONE!" The female voice yelled.

"Nancy Drew....Are you Avalon or James?" Nancy questioned

"Oh, hi Nancy! It's me. Avalon!" Avalon replied happily,

"That was kinda cheesy.. Especially for you." Nancy said

"Your right, it was. So what did you wanna talk about?" Avalon replied

"Two questions really. First one is why is it whenever I dial this number you respond instead of James?" Nancy asked

"Because the first time he was doing housework and this time he was doing laundry," Avalon replied

"Oh, so you guys don't always watch 608 all day." Nancy joked

"Very funny.. So what else did you wanna ask?" Avalon said cooly,

"Oh, uh.. Do all of you guys wanna come over here to eat dinner with us?" Nancy asked embarrassedly

"Of course! All I need to do is ask my parents and my brother if it's okay!" Avalon said excitedly,

"Thank goodness! Anyways, text me if they do say yes." Nancy said

"Okay, bye!" Avalon said, then hung up,

********The Tera's-more like Avalon's POV********

Avalon hung up after she said bye, then she walked into the living room,

"Can you guys all come in the living room please!" Avalon shouted,

Then one after one of the family members came out,

"What is it, little sis?" James asked,

"You know Nancy, right?" Avalon responded

"Yes, isn't she that kind lady that James mistaked as a robber?" Mrs. Tera questioned

"Mhm, she called me, well James on the phone and I picked up and she says she wants us to go and eat dinner with her and her parents, at their house, so can we please go to their house?" Avalon nervously asked

"As long as James learns to behave himself and you don't wear too much makeup. I don't see why we can't!" Mr. Tera said

"Thank you so much!" Avalon said, then went hugging everyone.

********Back to Nancy's POV,********

After she hung up, she went downstairs with her phone, hoping she'd receive a text soon,

"What's for dinner, anyway?" Nancy asked Hannah as she walked in the kitchen,

"Well, I suppose you can say spaghetti, but isn't that a bit to romantic for a certain couple of teenagers?" Hannah joked

"So your making spaghetti...?" Nancy asked embarrassedly

"Yep, and i'll make it with uncut noodles," Hannah said,
