Brooklyn’s POV:
“I’m sexy and I know it,” Shane continues to gyrate in the air as he dances on top of my kitchen counter. In my eyes he looks completely drunk out of his ass but to the girls that are cheering for him, I guess he looks like a hunk? I don’t know. The girls go wild as he takes off his shirt flinging it on to the crowd and I’m so lucky it lands on my head, obliterating my view of anything. I take off the shirt and fling it elsewhere. I turn on my heel, my mind set on walking away from this atrocity, only to find a staggering Flynn chugging down yet another beer.
I never got the point of intoxicating one’s body with alcohol, although this may be the goody-goody gene seeped in my bones, but I find the smell of beer repugnant. I watch as Flynn stumbles towards the fall in the room, he rests his head on the flat surface while he closes his eyes. I’ve often heard people drink in order to drown their sorrows, but what could Flynn possibly be trying to forget?
I tilt in my head as a pretty blonde walks up to him, speaks a couple of words and with a smirk he allows her to lead him upstairs. I just hope Flynn cleans up after himself, I may be a bit naïve but I definitely know what’s about to happen. Ugh, I shudder at the thought. I turn on my heel and my mouth hangs open as I take the girl grinding on a very intoxicated Logan. Yeah, Flynn thought he’d be courteous enough to invite my friends.
I shake my head, I’m pretty sure Logan only had one beer, how in the world did he get drunk? He must be really lightweight. I decide to save him as he begins to do the hustle to music that does not even coordinate with that dance. I begin to make my way towards them when I’m stopped by a firm grip on my arm.
“Let him have some fun,” I turn at the sound of Ryan’s voice. He takes a sip of the beer bottle in his hand, he motions it towards me and I raise an eyebrow.
“Seriously?”
“Come on, you need to loosen up a bit,” he shrugs. I roll my eyes and take the stupid bottle and raise it to my lips. The vile liquid makes its way inside my mouth and leaves a slight taste when I swallow it. I take another gulp and it’s not so bad. I continue to drink and head back into the kitchen, Ryan following close behind, and head for another beer.
“You know it’s not so bad,” I point out after a couple of drinks. I raise the bottle to my mouth once again, after a while I begin to feel a bit looser. I giggle and grab Ryan’s hand, leading him into the living room or the makeshift dance floor.
“Hey, this party’s awesome,” Khloe comes to scream in my ear. I don’t know why, but I nod excitedly and we begin to dance together, moments later we sandwich Ryan between us. I’m not very aware of the onlookers we have now gathered.
“Okay, I definitely need to get you girls upstairs, you’re very drunk,” Ryan tries to pull us towards the stairs after a couple of dances and one very dramatic tumble on the floor resulting in us laughing uncontrollably.
“Ryan, you need to get your party on,” Khloe laughs and moves back to continue dancing. She bumps into a guy who gladly takes her away by the hand.
“Come on Brook, time for you to go,” Ryan tugs on me.
“I’ll take her,” I hear a sweet baritone voice from behind. Ryan’s eyes widen and that’s enough for me to turn and look at the owner of the melodious voice. I come face to face with beautiful depths of chocolate, he smiles when he notices me looking.
