Ch 22 Guilt

POV:Jordan

I saw her jump in front of the car and I felt pain go through me.I ran towards her body and started to cry when I saw her noise bent the wrong way with her arms with cuts all over them.I heard the driver apolgizing and I completely ignored him as he called 911.This is all my fault I thought to myself as I grabbed her hand softly.I'm so sorry Sky I deserve all this guilt.I saw her open her dark eyes and she looked up at me painfully."I'm sorry."I said softly.She pulled her hand away from mine and turned away not wanting to look at me.The amblance arrived and put her in a the back.I stood there speakless not knowing what to do.They drove away and I kept standing there not knowing what to do or say.I pulled out my phone and decided to call her mother and tell her what happened.After explaining everything she decided that I should update her on everything that happens.I grabbed my keys and got into my car and drove all the way towards the hosptal.I ran inside wanting to see her right away."Im here for Skylar Helms."The girl looked up from the desk and nodded "Shes in room 8."I nodded and muttered a quick "Thank you."before running into the room.When I saw her sleeping peacefully I let out a happy sigh knowing that I wouldn't have to worry about her yelling at me to leave.I grabbed her soft hand and kissed it lightly wanting to remember the moment I first saw her and the way her eyes lit up when she saw me.I smiled to myself and placed her hand on my cheek.I heard her let out a groan and I placed her hand back down next to her so she wouldn't yell at me to not hold her hand.She fluttered her eyes opened and looked over at me.I braced myself for her yelling but instead she surprised me "I'm sorry for all that I put you though."I looked up at her confussed before shaking my head."And don't say that I didn't put you though anything because you know I did."I opened my mouth to say something but I closed it not knowing what to say."Its happened with pretty much every guy and its no different with you."She looked down at her lap and sighed "Honestly I'm fine."I shook my head and leaned closer to her."I know your lying I know how excited you were when you first saw me at PAX and don't lie when I say that you liked it when I kissed you."She blushed and looked over at me"Do you think you could give me another chance."I sighed "Maybe we should take it slowly and see where we go."She nodded "I'd like that."I smiled and hugged her tightly."We can still be friends right?"She said pulling away.I smiled at her happily "Of course."
