She stood stiff as he kept nuzzling his nose against the crook of her neck. Slowly, she pushed him away and backed off. He growled at her and tried pulling her back to him but she glared at him and he stopped, startled at her behaviour.
"I need to go home now." she demanded.
"No." he said. His voice was like honey coated in black chocolate, it was sweet and bitter at the same time. She wondered what her name sounded like coming from his mouth.
He was fascinated with her.
Her brown hair fell down in soft ringlets, making them look silky. Paired with a pair of pink apple cheeks and plump lips that are slightly parted open. But what interested him the most were her midnight black eyes. As if she was looking straight into his soul, sucking his every being into her.
He thanked the moon goddess for giving him such a beautiful mate-eventhough he knew he didn't deserve one. He watched her lips move and all he wanted to do was taste them. Then he watched how her arms were flailing around in crazy hand motions that caused him to chuckle-something he's never done before.
".....are you even listening to me?" she said exasperated. Trying to ignore the flutters in her stomach when she heard his chuckle, it was deep and rich and everything beautiful in between.
"I'm sorry, love." he said smoothly and swallowed his urge to growl as he saw the redness creeping up her neck to her cheeks. Then, she turned around and walked away with slight sway of her hips. Groaning quietly, he followed after her.
She walked aimlessly around the big mansion, trying to figure out where she is. Her mind drifted off to her grandmother. She imagined her soft brown eyes filling with worry as her eyebrows crinkled anxiously.
Heaving a sigh, she turned around to face him.
"I need to go home, my grandmother is going to worry about me..." her words trailing off, not knowing what to call him.
"Grey." he looked at her expectantly, wanting to know how his name sounded like coming from her mouth.
"Grey.." she breathed out softly while looking at him. She didn't mean to sound so breathless but just hearing his voice sent quivers down her spine.
Fuck, Grey thought.
He didn't expect his name to sound so beautiful coming from her mouth, he wanted to hear it over and over again. He wanted her to scream his name while he made her his.
Mine, only mine.
"Please Grey, can you take me home?" she pleaded softly.
They stared at each other.
Grey sighed and nodded solemnly. She smiled and walked towards him, making him fully aware of her body heat and smell. His body tensed and he quickly turned around and walked away from her.
Confused and slightly hurt, she stood unsure of what to do and just watched his back. Then, he suddenly turned and motioned for her to follow him, in which she quickly did. Her shoes making squeaking sounds as she walked.
Opening the door, darkness greeted them and Grey was hyper aware of every movement in the forest causing him to be tense. He could sense that she was close and quickly turned around to grip her hand.
She was shocked and gazed up at him, wondering why he was holding her hand. "It's dark, you need to be safe." he muttered out. Smiling softly, she grip onto his hands, causing his breath to hitch.
Gritting his teeth, he suppressed his need to hold her body against his and feel every part of skin but he can't. Pulling her gently, they walked silently in the dark woods.
Shivering slightly, she inched closer to him seeking for more body heat as her hands started to get cold and her teeth chattered. Noticing her shivering body, he took his jacket off and wrapped it around her then zipping it up to her neck. He was a hell lot bigger than her so the sleeves passed her arms and the end of his jacket almost reached her knees.
She looked adorable and he smiled softly. "You look beautiful.." he breathed out and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ears. Blushing, she bit her lip and moved away. "We should get going." Sighing, he held onto her hand and started walking until they reached the river.
They watched the small cottage house and saw a shadow of her grandmother from inside the house, pacing back and forth. She turned and looked up at him, "I better go, she's worried." she said softly. Grey admired her beauty and tried to take in every single detail of her face. He knew he didn't deserve her and he was planning on letting her go, even if it killed him.
He kissed her forehead gently and turned her around, then pushing her gently towards the river. "You should go." he whispered softly, trying to hide the pain in his voice.
This will be first and last time we'll meet, my love.
Turning around, he walked into the dark forest, leaving behind the girl who was meant to be his.
Biting her lip, a sense of hurt filled her heart and she turned around. "W-wait!" she yelled. Stopping his track, he couldn't bare to turn around or he'll do things he'll regret. "My name is Annabelle..." she said quietly then quickly hopped onto the rocks, leaving him.
He smiled softly, "Annabelle..." he whispered, "My sweet Annabelle." and he walked away into the dark forest and shifted into his beast.
