Grey was feeling on edge.  Every fibre in his being wanted to be with her, with his sweet Annabelle. He can't stop thinking about her every second of the damn day.  He wanted her hell, he craved the girl with every cell in his body, but he knew he had to do this.  He can't let her be with him, eventhough it will kill him.

He wanted to catch a glimpse of his angel, but he knew, just one look would send him off and running to her without a second thought and claim her right then and there.  He imagined her soft hair tangled in his hand while he kissed those beautiful lips of her, slowing moving down to her neck and marking her his.  Her hand pulling on his hair and her soft moans filling the room as he lick her neck and peppering it with soft kisses and suckles..

His wolf growled inside him, liking the thought of making Annabelle his.  Grey gripped the edges of his table, knuckles turning white as he strained himself from going to the edge of the forest and crossing the river, over to his mate's house.

Suddenly, a knock came from his door interrupting his thoughts which caused him to grit his teeth.

Breathing out a harsh breathe, he wiped all of his thoughts and said, "Come in."

The door opened and revealed a woman with long straight hair, reaching down to her waist, accentuating her tiny waist and long legs, hidden underneath black denim jeans paired with a white crew neck T-shirt.  She smiled sweetly at him and made her way towards him.

"So, I heard you found her," she exclaimed excitedly and sat on the edge of the mahogany table, crossing her legs and inspecting her long dark nails.  Her eyes the same colour as her brother, stormy blue with a tint of green in them.

Grey released a soft curse and looked at his sister in annoyance who instead gave him a cheeky grin in return.  He scowled and muttered, "So what if I found her? It's not your business Amerthia."

Amerthia's grin quickly turned in a frown, "It kinda is my business, since you're my brother," she scrunched up her nose as Grey let out a humourless chuckle. "so I have a right to know who my future sister-in-law is and of course, our Luna." she finished with a huff.

Greg's eyes hardened and he glared at his sister and grounded out, "She won't be your Luna, Amerthia."

"Why the hell not?" She growled out and slammed her hands on the table, causing it to shake a little.  Grey obviously wasn't pleased and stood up, towering over her as she glared up at him. "I'm not fucking scared of you asshole, you can intimidate me all you want but I'm your fucking sister, I know your weak spots and I know how to hurt you." she growled out and stood up straight.

Grey knew that his sister was not someone to mess with, considering they share the same alpha blood and they both went under the same training when they were pups.  Grey merely rolled his eyes and stormed out of the room, brushing his shoulder against Amerthia harshly.

Annabelle had a hard time sleeping that night, her thoughts consumed by the events that happened during the day.  She tried closing her eyes but it was useless, her thoughts would immediately drown her with the thoughts of Grey, the man she shouldn't even be thinking about no matter how attractive he was.

She remembered the way he looked at her, with happiness, lust and... love?  She shook those ridiculous thoughts away and groaned.  She was confused as to why she was so interested in a stranger!

She spent her night tossing and turning, not even knowing when she finally dozed off.  Waking up, she didn't feel as refreshed as she always felt.  Her head was hurting, her back stiff and her throat sore.  Walking sluggishly into the bathroom, she tried to make herself feel better by showering.

After she was done, she opted for comfy clothes which consisted of short shorts and a baggy sweater that reached down to her mid-thighs.  Bundlelling up her hair in a messy bun, she went downstairs to eat breakfast which were pancakes and bacon with some eggs.

While she was eating, her mind drifted off to the events that happened last night.  Mindlessly she ate, unknown to her grandmother's stare.

"Ana," her grandmother called out her nickname. "Is everything alright, dear?" concern laced her voice as her eyebrows furrowed in worry, causing more crinkles to appear all over her face.

"I'm fine, Nana.  I couldn't sleep well last night, so I don't really feel like facing the world today." Annabelle said lightly, trying to ease her Nana's worry.

"Well, tell me if you feel like you're coming down with something okay, dear?" she said as she smiled worriedly and continued sewing, while she watched TV.

Annabelle nodded and continued eating her breakfast.  After finishing her breakfast, she cleaned up the table and went to her room, plopped herself on her bed and sighed.

I wonder what Grey is up to?

She walked aimlessly towards her window and perched herself on the window sill, watching the forest from her room.  She gazed down for a while, her thoughts consuming her and she closed her eyes, falling asleep by the window.

Grey shifted into his wolf after the encounter with his sister and decided to go for a run in the woods to clear his mind.

He didn't know how long he had been running, until he noticed that the sky has gone darker and the forest is enveloped in complete darkness.  Shifting back to his human form, he went behind a bush where clothes were hidden in them for whenever anyone from the pack wanted to change into their other form.

Walking back, he lets his mind drift off as his legs lead him to a familiar path.  Grey walked faster as the familiar sound of the river greeted his ears, he sniffed the air and he could smell the soft scent of flowers and strawberries.  Licking his lips, he knew whose scent it was.

Stopping in his tracks, he saw her.  She was sleeping soundly by the window in her room while it was opened slightly to allow the wind in her room and her scent to mix in with other things outside.

A part of him, the sane part, contemplated on turning back and never seeing his angel again but the crazier part of him wanted her all to himself. His to have and to hold, forever.

Clenching his hands into fists, he decided. Jumping from boulder to boulder until he reached her house, he called out to her from below.

"Annabelle!" he whisper-shouted. She only stirred for a bit but kept on sleeping, he cursed softly and tried calling for a second time but louder. This seemed to wake her up.

Confused and dishevelled, Annabelle rubbed the sand out of her eyes and swore she heard someone calling for her.  Looking around her room, nobody was there but when she turned around to look at the forest, something caught her eye.

"Grey?" she whispered and that was his undoing.  Every cell in his body yearned for her, his heart hammered against his chest and his wolf howled in his mind.

Then he did the most surprising thing, he smiled softly, revealing two dimples on both of his cheeks.

"Come down for me, Annabelle." he whispered to her and opening his arms open.

And Annabelle did the most stupid thing she's ever done, she jumped out the window and believed that he will catch her.

Hey guys, I'm sorry if this is too cringy or if it's escalating quickly but this is a short story so I'm not going to make it a long one so probably just below 15 chapters.  There won't be any drama going on because honestly, I hate those and I want to focus on these two characters instead.  So yeah, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and please comment/share my story! Thank you (:
