May be triggering, so be careful!Stacy's POV
As she dragged the blade across her skin, the relief she felt was incredibly immense. She repositioned herself on the side of the tub, sobbing; she was grateful that Graser wasn't there to see her so weak. She had just been told by her father that she was a disappointment and a fat failure. She felt like both were true and that Graser was much too good for her.
The door crashed open and Graser barged in. "Stacy, why? Why would you do this to yourself?"
"B-because I'm a f-failure. And I'm f-fat and a d-disappointment. You probably h-hate me now," she sobbed, sure that he would leave her.
He took the blade from her hand and flushed it down the toilet. "No, I don't hate you. I completely understand," he said, cleaning her arm up. "Look." He pulled his sleeve up, revealing years of scarring from his own struggles. "You're perfect," he said, kissing her. "And I would never leave you."
She finally realized that he does love her, no matter if she cuts or not. But she has a reason to stop now. They would break the chains of addiction together.
