Teenage Years (Book 1)

Chapter 6

The girls ran into a pizza restaurant with the guys running after them close behind. The restaurant was called Pizza Hut and Hailey dragged Justice inside. Then the boys ran in and sat with them in a circular booth. The order was Ashton, Michael, Hailey, Justice, Luke, Calum.
Then a waitress came over and they ordered their drinks and two medium pizzas. Then after a few minutes of awkward silence Ashton spoke up.
"So at school today you guys were only really with each other. Not to sound rude or anything, but do you guys have any other friends?"
"Ya we do," Hailey answered. "We had a group of friends, it was us and a feed girls named Stephanie, Tegan, Noah, and Katelyn. Tegan and Noah loved you guys too by the way. But anyway, all of them except  Katelyn went to different high schools. Katelyn is my neighbor so I see her on the bus and sometimes we sit next to each other at lunch."
"Oh that's cool, do you ever see your other friends that went to different high schools?" Michael asked.
"Sometimes on the weekends." Justice said.
"Oh that's good at least you see them." Calum said.
"Ya..." Hailey trailed off.
"Ok wait so I just want to say thanks" she said kinda awkwardly. "Your music always makes us both feel better when we are down. I mean, whenever we needed an escape we'd just turn your music on, and suddenly, everything was okay again. Sorry I've wanted to say that for a long time."
Justice nodded. "Your music helped me calm down when I wanted to scream and yell at everyone."
"Aww, thanks that's what we try to be but we never thought we meant that much to people," Ashton said.
"Trust me you do, you mean more than that to us and so many more people," Justice said.
"Yup" Hailey said.
Then the pizza came and everyone's drinks came to the table.
Everyone took their drinks and a slice of pizza, except for Michael, who had a whole pizza to himself.
"So do you guys have any siblings?" Luke asked.
Both girls nodded, "I have two older sisters named Kayla and Lindsey. Kayla is 23 and Lindsey is 20," Hailey said.
"Cool," Calum said. "What about you Justice?"
"I have two younger sisters, Makenna, who is 10 and Hayden who is 2."
"Awwwwww" all the guys said.
Justice shook her head. "She is cute and adorable but she hits me a lot and it hurts."
"Have any of you almost died before?" Michael asked.
"What kind of question is that?" Hailey asked, laughing a little.
"I don't know but have you?" Michael said. Hailey just shook her head.
"I have." Justice said.
Luke dropped the pizza he was eating and looked at Justice.
"How?" Ashton asked.
"Um when I was 1 month old, my stomach wouldn't digest anything.  My parents took me to the doctors and said just change my bottle formula. So my parents did... Multiple times and I was still not digesting anything and threw up everything. But one day when my dad came home he... he said that I looked really pale and sick so he rushed me to the hospital. The doctor at the hospital said I had to get surgery and that if my parents took me to the hospital an hour later I wouldn't have made it. So now I just have a huge scar on my stomach," Justice said as a few tears ran down her face. Hailey had tears too.
"Aww Pete" Hailey said, taking Justice's hand.
Justice slightly smiled at Hailey and squeezed her hand. "Thanks Patrick"
"Oh we're so sorry" Calum said.
"Well I'm- we're glad you are okay." Luke said.
"Thanks guys." Justice said slightly smiling at them.
After a few minutes of awkward silence Michael asked, "So why did you call each other Pete and Patrick before?"
"Oh it's our joke." Hailey said. 
"We are talking about Pete and Patrick from Fall Out Boy," Justice finished.
"Oh ok cool, "Luke said.  " What other bands are you into?"
"Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce the Veil, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, and some others." Justice said.
"Wow we all have very similar music tastes." Ashton commented.
"Ya I guess  so," Calum said.
"Um so do you two have boyfriends?" Michael asked. 
Hailey and Justice looked at each other and bursted out laughing.  They were laughing so hard that Justice fell on the floor and started having a hard time breathing from laughing so much. Hailey sat there pointing at Justice and laughing at her. Justice got up and sat back down at the table still laughing and Luke hugged her to try and calm her down. Justice blushed and covered her hands and kept laughing. Hailey was still laughing but calmed down a little.
"We have been single since we were born," Hailey said.
"Not me, I forced a guy to be my boyfriend in preschool." Justice said.
"We are the "emo", "antisocial", and the only girls in the whole school who ate still single." Hailey said. 
"Oh..." Calum said.
"And awkward if you can't already tell."
"No you're not, it's okay," Michael said.
"Thank god" Luke thought, tightening his grip on Justice.
Justice blushed even more( if it was possible) Hailey saw Justice and smiled.
"Um we should probably go to Hottopic now," Hailey said.
Everyone nodded in agreement, finished eating, and they all paid for the food.
