White Lies [Completed]

W H I T E

~ There's some dialogue in this one~

The day you wore all white

Was the day I knew.

So I walked up to you,

'Hey.'

You looked at me,

Not saying a word.

'I've been busy.'

Another one of my white lies.

'I'm sorry.'

I thought it was innocent.

'That's all I have to say.'

It wasn't.

So you shut your locker,

Turned,

And left.

Left me standing in the hallway.

                 Alone.

And I hated you for it,

You were so stupid, not noticing;

I still love you.

My heart lies to me sometimes.

They aren't white lies though.

They're the big ones, that tear at you.

The ones that break hearts.

But in this moment,

All I could think about,

Was the white dress,

The white flower in you hair,

And the way you looked at me.

Before walking away.

You were perfect.

But the white covered it up.

Just like the lies my heart told,

Covered up my feelings.
