***Xavier***

I was worried for Alexis as I tried to reason with the rogue, I constantly checked the bond, eager to find out whether she was ok.

'Xavier we are all in lock-down, please let me know what's going on' Aurora pleaded through the mind link,

'Rouges have a letter addressed to me and Alexis, they want to make sure I got it and they're letting me know from Kristov that I have exactly 24 hours to hand Alexis over' I mind linked back.

'You don't plan on giving her up' Aurora questioned and I inwardly groaned,

'Of course not!' The thought of Alexis no longer being mine made me angry, I could feel my wolf brewing at the surface. I had fallen in love with her; her innocent, crystal clear blue eyes, the colour of the ocean on a clear day, her gorgeous mud brown hair flowing in the breeze. Her full lips, so pink and kissable would have me falling at my knees. If Alexis wanted to leave me I would fight for her to stay, I'd do anything she wanted and I had no problem with it.

I loved Alexis and I planned on telling her that tonight.

I took the letter from the rogue, he had nasty brown eyes and matted red hair. He stunk; he had not showered for at least a week.

"Thank you, now be on your way" I growled and the rogues only grinned at me, laughing as they turned back the way they came.

'It is safe to leave lockdown' I told Aurora, 'Let Alexis know she is to get ready for her induction for tonight' I mind liked, I turned deciding to run the whole border to make sure that no one was slacking off,

'Sure' Aurora was obviously distracted, I left her on her own. I shifted and made my way to South Beach, I had to ensure Dimity was doing his runs.

***Alexis***

Xavier had not yet come back from his patrol and it was getting dangerously close to when I would be inducted into the pack.

I was standing at my door, dressed and ready, waiting for Aurora; she promised she would take me down to the lake where I would be inducted as I didn't want to walk alone.

I sighed and made my way to my full length mirror; I was barefoot, my dress just reaching to my mid thighs, the lace fabric covered me but you could still see my breasts and hips; the intimate parts anyway. You could also see the outline of my body through the fabric. I had left my hair out naturally, not doing it up. My mother had told me that in the ancient ways to be inducted into your pack you had to be yourself, physically and mentally, no makeup no clothes that hid you. You were a new person being given to a pack and you had to be honest down to your bare skin.

I studied my face; I was fresh faced; no lip gloss, no makeup, my blue eyes were excited, scared and sad. I wanted my mother and father here to see me be inducted to my mates pack.

A knock at my door threw me out of my daze.

"Come in" I watched the door open through the mirror, Ryan was at the door, a piece of white fabric in his hands.

"Hello Alexis, I wanted to give you something" Ryan smiled and held the fabric up for me.

My hand flew to my mouth as I tried to hold back my tears,

"Mum asked me to look after it when I left, she wanted you to wear it on your induction" Ryan smiled at me proudly. It was my mothers induction dress from when she met my father. It had been a tradition to pass the dress down the line.

I ran to Ryan and hugged him crying,

"Thank you Ryan but I can't, Andrea and Aurora aldready made me this dress" I sighed looking at my mothers induction dress.

"I spoke to them, they're happy for you to wear whichever you please" Ryan smiled at me and handed me the material. "You're choice, Xavier is waiting at the lake, Aurora is outside, once you decide she will walk you down to the lake" Ryan walked out the door, leaving me to think about which I would wear.

I finally had a piece of my parents, I had a piece of my family history. I smiled as I changed into my mothers induction dress. The material was soft against my skin, and much like the other one, though I felt so much more powerful. I smiled and caught my reflection in the mirror. I was a splitting image of my mother.

I smiled and met Aurora outside my room. Our walk to the lake was quiet as I fell into deep thought. Aurora was bound by the ancient ways not to talk to the person to be inducted into the pack. Upon reaching the lake I saw the preparations the pack had made. To my left was the lake with lanters floating in the water, to my right were the trees, each tree had a fire torch next to it. All the pack members were sitting in front of me, they had left a walkway through the middle of them. Xavier stood in front of them all, his head bowed.

upon seeing me standing and waiting he began the induction.

"We are united here tonight as a pack to induct Alexis Bordayn; Daughter of Alpha Mike Bordayn of the Willow Pack" Xavier started and smiled at me, I was shocked he knew so much about me. He had done his research to make sure it was the way of the ancients.

I smiled and walked down the walk way, meeting Xavier at the front of his whole pack.

"I welcome you Alexis, future pack member, future Luna" Xavier turned to me taking my hand in his he pressed a blade to my palm, the blood fell into a small glass bowl next to our feet. I had not yet noticed it there. My blood joined every other pack members blood. I watched as it swirled, mingling with the others.

Xavier then cut his palm and let his blood mingle with ours.

"I Alpha Xavier hereby declare Alexis Bordayn Luna and member of the Redwood Pack" as soon as Xavier declared me a member I could feel all my old ties dissapear; they were already broken yet I could feel them dissapear and new ones take their place. I could feel every emotion from the pack members, I could feel their souls enter mine. I breathed in smiling as I fell to my knees; overwhelmed with the power of the pack.

I watched as everyone around me cheered, their emotions flowing through me to the point where I could not contain the energy of their souls.

I passed out.

I awoke in Xaviers bed, still in the dress from the induction, I sat up looking around for him. Xavier was sitting on the end of his bed his head in his hands,

"Alexis, you scared me; you passed out from all the packs energy. I'm sorry I thought you were going to die" Xavier was stressed I could tell, "We're going to war tomorrow Alexis" Xavier looked up at me, love and fear in his eyes, "I don't want to lose you"
