Adrien finds himself in a bind when the woman he loves isn't who he thinks she is. (Note to those of you who are already reading: A few things have been changed. Some of it got deleted somehow so I changed it up a bit and combined the first two chap...
The next day, Adrien was late. He woke up at 9 only to find that his alarm hadn't gone off. "Plagg! How long have you been awake?" He yelled at the small kwami, nibbling on his nasty cheese.
"Just a few hours. I don't sleep that well when you snore so much." Plagg's constant sass made Adrien want to strangle him.
"You should have woken me up! Now I'm late." He rummaged through his room and grabbed his school materials. After quickly getting dressed, he grabbed Plagg by the tail and yanked him into the side of his shirt. "Hide."
He ran out the door before Natalie could see him. She was just convince him to stay home and study with her like his father wanted. He refused. He had been going to school for a little over a year now. As long as he had been Chat Noir, he realized. As he ran down the street, he caught sight of someone.
Marinette. She was running towards the school too. He picked up the pace to run next to her. "You late too?" She looked at him and smiled. "Uhh, yeah."
"Stayed up late doing homework." They both said at the same time. They laughed and continued to run. They were almost to the school now and both of them were so out of breath that they coulnd't even make conversation. They ran up the stairs to their classroom and stopped at the door.
"Okay, let's just slide in there like we were here the whole time." Marinette looked at Adrien with a smile.
He gave her a sideways look and said, "Since when has that ever worked for you?"
"Well, never. But maybe someday it will work."
They did as she said and slid through the door. Just as they were going to sit in their desks, Chloe spoke up. "Adrien! I'm so glad you're here!" She looked over at Marinette. "What is she doing with you?"
"Chloe please!" The teacher turned around and saw both Adrien and Marinette. "Can you not create such a ruckus if you come in late! Go to the principal both of you."
Adrien sighed and turned to walk out. "You can't do that to him, do you even know who he is?" He heard Chloe bickering with the teacher as him and Marinette walked away.
"Ugh, mama and papa are going to be furious." Marinette moped next to him.
"It'll be alright Marinette." He gave her a cheeky smile and placed a hand on her shoulder.
She smiled back at him. "I sure hope so."

After the fiasco with the principal, which only ended in a lecture (thank goodness for Marinette) she sat through the rest of school in peace. She made conversation with Adrien, Nino, and Alya about what they would be doing this weekend. Chloe huffed the whole day about Adrien being sent to the principal.
"Maybe we could all go to Marinette's family's bakery and get some really good food." Alya smiled at Marinette who smiled shyly back.
"I mean I guess we could do that, but do you have anything else in mind?"
"What about video games? You've got that fancy console, don't you?" Nino piped in with a chuckle.
Marinette laughed and nodded, peeking at Adrien who also had a giant smile on his face. "Sounds like a plan."
Marinette stood in her house, staring at the miscellaneous things that cluttered it. "Well, why don't you do it in your room?" Her mother asked.
"You've got that huge screen we bought for you." Her father added.
"But, then Adrien would-"
"Clean your room before they come over." Her parents left her alone to go back to the bakery.
"Ahh," she slouched and lazily made her way up the stairs. As she stared around her room, she realized she had quite a bit to do. Not only did she have to clean up her fabrics and whatnot, but there were pictures Adrien.. EVERYWHERE! She sighed and grumbled as she cleaned up.
"Why did they have to decide to do this here? We could have gone to n arcade or something."
"Marinette, I thought you liked it when Adrien came over. Remember last time?" Tikki spoke and Marinette blushed, peeling photos off of the wall.
"I do enjoy when he comes over but it would be nice to have at least a little bit of warning. They'll be here in-" She looked at her phone, stating how much time she had left. "Ten minutes?!?" She scurried around her room, cleaning miscellaneous things and shoving other things in random drawers. With a quick, final scan, she cleared all of the Adrien off the walls and desks.
Just as she was done, she heard the doorbell ring.
"Perfect timing," Tikki said and hid in Marinette's bag as usual.
