(A/N: The updates may be much slower because lately I have been having some technical difficulties, But I'm certainly going to continue this story. I'm currently working on updates for my other stories, since this is the one with more chapters, it will probably be the one with a little less attention since I'm trying to make all the stories around the same length, But anyway, enjoy the story my ghostly friends~)

Sky decides it will be a good idea to go talk to Kevin and the others, and maybe even explain my situation. I slip on a black hoodie and my usual black skinny jeans. "I have a date with Dahvie soon." Sky says as she looks in the mirror. "Oooooh." Sly gives me a death glare. I throw up my hands. "Never mind." I say a nervous laugh following. Sky gives me a 'that's-what-I-thought' look and then we both head outside. "let's walk..." I say, getting a bad feeling about the car. "Why can't I just-" I look at Sky, "If you've never trusted me before, now is the time for you to trust me the most. There's something not right." I say. Sky lets out an annoyed sigh, "Fine we'll walk." She says, in defeat. We start walking and Sky starts singing CandyLand by Blood on the Dancefloor. I look over at her and I chuckle. "What's so funny?" she asks. "Nothing." I say. We walk to the pizza place close to Sky's house and we walk in. "What kind of pizza?" Sky asks. "Spinach and cheese!" I say. "Wow..... You're an awfully strange creature." Sky says as she walks over to the waiter. He has somewhat long black hair with purple and white throughout the long locks and the most entrancing silver-ish gray eyes. "I-Iris....?" The waiter pushes Sky away. "Hey dude-" Suddenly the waiter tackles me and I stumble back. "God, I'm so glad you're ok. I thought Devin had got you." he says. "W-who are you and how do you know Devin...?" I ask, my voice shaking slightly. "You don't remember me? Your best friend for like 10 years plus?! I'm Vincent!" he pushes me back to where I'm arm's length away from him and he searches my eyes. I slowly begin to remember Vincent, the only kid in my entire school that paid attention to ME more than my sisters. "Oh my God.... You're-" "Different, I know. Things had to change when you left." Vincent says. "I'm glad you two have met up again but I want food." Sky says, crossing her arms. Vincent chuckles a little. "I apologize. What would you like?" Vincent asks. "One pizza, half spinach and cheese and half pepperoni." Skyler says. "Yo! Jordan! Come seat these lovely ladies!" Vincent shouts as he walks back behind the counter. A tall male with long-ish basically neon green hair, shaved on one side walks from behind the counter. He has gauges and a septum piercing, tattoos are faintly visible. And despite there being an "all employees must wear similar clothes" rule, he isn't dressed like any of the others. He wears a black shirt with a black leather jacket, with the sleeves pushed up. "Hey. I'm Chris, but call me Jordan. Vincent told me to come seat you guys, is there a preferred seating area....?" Jordan asks, but neither Sky nor I were paying attention to his words, we were mostly focused on his amazing blue eyes. "Um...." Jordan gives us a strange look. "Anywhere is fine." Sky and I say in unison. Jordan flashes us an amazing smile. "Follow me." he says, making his way out to the ocean of empty tables and booths. He walks over to a table near a window where a green neon light lines the wall, connected to a yellow neon light on the wall beside it. He pulls out two chairs. "Vincent will be right out with your food unless you'd like me to bring out your food." he asks, looking at Sky and I as we sit, a small smirk dancing on his lips. "That's not-" Sky cuts me off, "She means we would love you to bring out the food." Jordan chuckles a little and he nods. "And what would you ladies like to drink?" Sky and I look at each other and she gives me a look and I know what she's going to say, "a tall cup of y-" "Two cokes." I cut off Sky this time and she raises an eyebrow. "Alright then, I'll be right back with your food and drinks." Jordan winks at us as he walks off and Sky chuckles. "I think he likes you." Sky says. "I think he likes you." I say, looking out the window. "Nonsense, plus I have my sweet Dahvie. You're still looking." I sigh at Sky's reply. The door to the front of the building swings open and two familiar figures walk in, not in the happiest state....

Manny and Evan.

Sky looks over at them and wave them over. I sigh as the two of them walk over and take a seat at the table. "What's up with you guys?" I ask, looking to Evan, hoping to get a calm reply but instead I get a very violent reply from Manny, "Some fucking idiot landed Kevin and Alix in the hospital!" his voice echoes a bit and Sky jumps at his sudden outburst. "What did he look like?" I ask. "I'm not even sure of it was human.... It had black eyes, claws a-and huge wings. It was like an angel.... Of death." Evan looks up at me with fear in his brown eyes. I look at Sky. "You don't think it was....?" Sky asks. I nod slowly. "What aren't you telling us...?" Manny asks. "This monster.... Did it have blonde hair...?" Sky asks. Evan nods. "Devin." Manny gives Sky and I strange looks. "Who...?" he asks. "Devin. He was someone I knew." I say. Jordan walks up with the pizza and drinks and he sets them down. "Here you go." He says, laying napkins down by the drinks and he walks off. "Look you're hiding something and we know it." Evan says. "Fine.... Devin and I aren't human and we aren't alive." I say. Silence. That's all that replies. Manny bursts out laughing. "She's serious." Sky says. "How can you not be alive but you're sitting right here?" Evan asks as Manny recovers from his laughing episode. "I was given another chance. But my chance is coming to an end. I had two months to find someone to kiss or I'll be dead forever, only thing is, the first month is coming to an end and I still have no idea how this will end. Devin is having the same issue, so he's trying his best to get me." Evan seems to be analyzing my every word. "I believe in superstitions and everything but what you're saying is a bit far off." Manny says. "No it isn't...." Evan says, his voice low and quiet. "It makes sense. You're demons aren't you?" Evan looks me dead in the eyes. "Devin and I are...." I say. "It makes perfect sense!" Sky is already eating, "Demons are supposed to be heartless creatures, so apply love and they become more human, with a higher ability to live." Evan says, looking at Manny. "Wait a second.... Alix and Kevin... Are they ok?!" I ask. "They're in bad condition..." Manny says. "Oh God." Sky flicks a piece of pepperoni at me and it hits me in the eye, despite there being an eerie vibe everyone laughs. I pick up the napkin to wipe my eye and I see something wrote on it and I read it:

Hey, give me a call sometimes, maybe we can hangout, Vince says your pretty cool and I'd love to get to see if he's right. Text or call, I get off of work around 5:30 maybe we can hang tonight ;) XXX-XXX-XXXX~ Jordan.

~Time Skip~

After we eat, me, Sky and the guys head to the park to talk. "They won't even let us in to talk to Alix and Kevin...." Manny says. "Probably cause they'll freak out or something." Sky says. I hear faint whispers and I stop causing the others to stop and as I expected Devin drops down in front of us and I growl. "You." I say. "You should learn how to greet me better." Devin says. As Evan described Devin now has fiery red eyes, long, long claw-like nails and neatly folded on his back is a pair of wings. Something must have happened for him to get stronger and evolve. "Why don't you just give up. The other two are almost dead." Devin spits out. "You're sick." Sky says. "Funny, last time I checked, you killed your best friend. I'd shut it if I were you." Devin says. "You aren't going to hurt her or anyone else." I say, firmly. "Then give in already! You won't find anyone else! I'm the BEST you can do." That causes my blood to boil. "Iris...." Evan breathes out my name. "NEVER say I can't do better than you, because I already am!" Devin and I both react at the same time and we attack each other, his nails sliding across my arms and my teeth finding his shoulder. Devin pushes me off of him quickly and he jumps backwards, putting distance between us. Sky tosses me a knife and I catch it, I still have the disadvantage. "Evan! Manny! Run!" I say, they don't hesitate, but Sky stays. "Come on, Iris! You got this!" She cheers. Devin comes at me again and he throws a punch, I dodge effortlessly and I drag the knife across his back, causing a gash right beneath the wings on his back. He falls forward and he reaches to his back, dragging his fingers through the blood. He unfolds his wings slowly, clearly it causes pain. "You really fucked up." He says. He flies up quickly and swoops down instantly, slamming me into the ground and at the same time he digs his nails into my side, drawing lots and lots of blood, but I drive the knife into his stomach at the same time. A smile sneaks onto Devin's lips, sorrow in his eyes. "Nice t-try." Devin says. I look down at my side and he yanks his nails out of my side and I close my eyes and groan. Devin places his hand on top of mine, where I'm holding the knife and he twists the knife into his own stomach and then yanks the knife out. He laughs and raises the knife above his head and I suspect pain but suddenly there's nothing.... I open my eyes and see Devin on the ground, scrambling away from Sky who holds the knife. I groan quietly as my vision doubles and darkens at the edge and then....

Nothing.
