Chapter 2: Meeting Some Neighbors

1st person
I opened the door after the bell was rung, coming face to face with a young man with shaggy black hair covering part of his blue eyes, and a very strange mask along with an interesting hoodie.

3rd person
"Hello? Can I help you sir?" You ask raising your brow up in question.
"Yes, I am Zane; part of the neighborhood watch. I'm just here to tell you that if you come across any problems in our Lovely neighborhood, to report them to me." He hands you a card with phone numbers on it.
"It can be just about anything, do not be afraid to call in anything that seems problematic."
"Oh well thanks, uh, Zane.... Oh, hope you don't mind me asking but are there children in this neighborhood?" You ask stuffing the card in your back pants pocket.
"I do believe I have seen some children around, why do you need to know?" He crosses his arms narrowing his eye.
"I just wanted to know to see if my brother may gain some new friends that live in the area." You lean a bit on the side of the door.
"Alright well then I must take my leave, have a good day...." He looks at you questioningly.
"(Y/n), you too Zane."
You close the door and see the strange fellow walk away, probably back home.

1st person
I take the card out of my pocket again and set it on the table next to the door where our older house phone is sat on.
"Well good to know this place has some kids for him to play with..." I say out loud talking to myself.
I check the time and see it's almost midday so I walk to the kitchen to look inside our cabinets and fridge to see what food we may have in there. Inside the fridge were some deli meats, cheese, milk, soda, juice,and a bag of mixed veggies in the bottom fridge cabinet. In the cabinets were less than what was in the fridge; just some cereal, chips, bread, and some candies I bought for (b/n) to eat on the road; it was half empty.
Seeing what we had I decided to make us some sandwiches for lunch; not much, but good enough for lunch.
I quickly put together the sandwiches and went up the stairs with them along with some juice for (b/n) and me. I open the door to his room to see him happily look at at me and jump up onto his feet when he saw the food in my hands.
"Sis! You made the lunches!" He spoke gleefully as I gave him a sandwich and a carton of juice. We ate in a comfortable silence; him quietly playing with his toys while taking big bites of the sandwich, and me eating slowly enjoying the moment.
Well I was until the bell rung for the second time that day.
"Hmm.... The ringy thingy rung?.." (B/n) asked looking up at me.
"Hahaha.... The doorbell (b/n), and yes it did ring; want to come with me and see what it is?"
I pretty much didn't even have to ask since he was already looking at me with courage to see what was at our door.
On our way downstairs; with my brother in my arms, the bell was rung again so I quickly shouted,"Just a sec!"

Aphmaus Point of view
A few days ago me and the girls saw one of the open houses was sold and we've been planning to go there to greet our new neighbor, or neighbors, for a few days now but we've just forgotten, especially with what Kawaii-Chan pulled a few days ago.
We rung the bell with a fruit basket in my arms but no one came. We rang again and got a muffled," Just a sec!" From someone inside, it was muffled but it sounded a bit deeper than a woman's voice so I can only expect it's a man.
The door unlocks and we can finally see our new neighbors. The older one seemed about my age with (h/l),(h/c) hair, (s/c) skin, and (e/c) eyes. They looked fairly muscular and we're definitely taller than me, maybe about 5,7 or 8? Then they had a little boy in their arms. The boy had (h/l),(h/c) hair,(e/c) eyes, and (s/c) skin. They looked close but didn't really look alike by their faces.
"Um.. Hello I'm Aphmau and these are my roommates Katelyn and Kawaii-Chan! We wanted to welcome you into the neighborhood!" As I said that I offered the basket to the pair and the older one took it with their camo clad arm.
"Nice to meet you 3, I'm (y/n) and this is my little brother (b/n)." (Y/n) stated as their little brother waved at us.
"Hi! I'm (b/n)! Good to meeting yous!" His speech was a little messy but extremely cute.
"So how do you like the neighborhood so far?" Katelyn asked.
"It seems like a safe place, very clean too, right (b/n)?" They looked down at their brother.
"Yeah!" He exclaimed throwing his arms in the air.
"(Y/n)-Kun, do you have a place to work at?" Kawaii-Chan asked tilting her head to the side.
"Hmm. Yes but I need to find another job at night. I have one at a store in the mall that I'll be starting tomorrow but I still need another." They said placing the basket on the ground behind them in the home.
"Kawaii-Chan knows a pizza place that needs more delivery people!" Oh no. I look at Katelyn and she looks at me; we both know where this is going.
"Really?" (Y/n) asked.
"Yeah! Here Kawaii-Chan wrote down its direction!" She handed them a slip of paper out of nowhere.
"Thank you." (Y/n) looks at it, probably seeing if it's close enough.
"Well it was good meeting you (y/n), but we've got something we need to do in a little while so we gotta go." Katelyn says while grabbing one of Kawaii-Chan's ears and pulling her away with Kawaii-Chan whimpering.
"Uh, bye (y/n) it's been good meeting you, find us later to tell us how you're doing alright?" I ask them and they nod as I wave running of to get back to my friends.

(Y/n) point of view
I close the door and place the basket in the center of our kitchen island giving an orange to.    (b/n). I plan on looking up the pizza place and seeing if the pink cat girl's statement was true. It seems like the people I've met so far are nice people. I think the choice to move here will be a good one.
