Chapter two

 

''Jessie''

 What should I do this time around about these guys who are looking for me. I'm I the one who they are looking for in the first place? A huge part of me believes so. They're words ring in my ears ' one blue eye and the other red' that applies to me so much it ticks a nerve in my head.

I've managed to avoid them for four days now. Do they know it's me per say? Do they know what I look like?

''Earth to Jessie''

Dad and mom aren't here to help me like before.

''Jupiter to Jessie'' I can keep avoiding them, I mean how hard can that be, to get them to leave? Wait scratch that, I think it's obviously hard since they are looking for me, I think they came here just to find me, and from the few minutes that I stood in the same place they did. They didn't look like the people who would give up easily.

But this won't be the first time I've done this without my parents...

''Universe to Jessie!'' I noticed something, or more like someone waving their hand in front of my face.

''What!'' I snapped at the rude person in front of me, can't they see I'm in deep thoughts?

I could feel some people glaring at me, but I ignored them and focused at the person sitting in front of me. 

It turned out to be none other than my dear friend Emma.

''I've been calling you for ten hours woman'' she told me huffing.

I smirked, after recovering from the anger and a little shock of someone sitting in front of me.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

''No you haven't'' she narrowed her eyes at me knowing what I'm about to say.

''I was with you...'' I searched for my phone under the pile of papers and medical books. After a few seconds it was amazing that I could find it in the first place. I pressed the side button to see the time, it says 4:35 Pm ''two hours ago, so you couldn't have been calling me for ten hours unless you sto...'' I commented but she cut me off.

''Okay, I get it!'' she cut me off, a bit annoyed.

She sighed and sat back in her chair folding her arms against her chest.

''You know what I mean Jessie'' I chuckled and started taping my pen on the pages of the book I was studying at the moment.

''You ought to stop throwing your sarcastic comments at me little girl'', she commented, narrowing her eyes at me.

 I closed the book and threw it on the table and made a loud thud.

Too many pages for my liking.

I leaned forward in my chair to place my elbow on the table and my face into my palm.

''Technically I'm older then you'' I love teasing Emma from time to time, her expressions and responses are rather amusing.

Emma unfolded her arms and sat up to begin a war with me. Like she always do when I tease her.
