  Chapter 3

''Please'' Emma kept pleading, using her puppy eyes on me.

''Nope'' I told her, never removing my eyes from the lines of the book in my hands, because damn, she knows how to pull that puppy face on someone when she wants to.

''Pretty please'' she clapped her hands together, I chuckled, she looked really funny, sitting on her bed, Indian style putting her hands together like that, her body facing my bed, which I'm sitting on, legs stretched on the covers and reading a book.

''Pretty nope'' I told her with a sly smile on my face flipping to the next page, I don't know why she's trying, when she knows my answer.

She let out a frustration groan ''Why not?!'' she asked throwing her hands up in the air out of annoyance.

I let out a sigh, and closed my book shut, placing it on my nightstand. I turned to face her, dangling my feet from the bed to her side, placing my elbows on my knees.

''You know how I feel about these things, why do u even bother trying'' I asked her frowning.

''Well we just finished exams yesterday and here you are reading a freaking book, seriously Jess live a little'' she told me bluntly.

She folded her arms against her chest and turned her face away from mine.

''If I didn't know any better, I would say you are a book worm'' she mumbled, I rolled my eyes at her, amused by her childish behavior.

''Heard that'' I told herImitating her actions by folded my arms, she turned her head so fast I thought it would fall off.

''How di... never mind'' she told me after recovering from her shock, I chuckled.

She lets out a sigh before speaking after few moments of silence flew by.

''come on Jess, just this once, please do this for me, you are leaving in almost two weeks and I wanna have fun with you as much as I can, god knows how long you will be gone this time'' she rumbled so fast, even I'm Surprised that I got what she said, her eyes looking straight into mine.

It's true that we have finished this term's exams, but I still have some essays to take care of, but other than that I have nothing else to do, and I have made my mind about when should I get back home.

Surely I'm glad that the exams are over, and I would love to spend my time with my friends, because I really don't know how long it would take me to get back here. Usually when I leave, I would come back before a day or two of the beginning of the new semester, everybody would be too busy to do anything.

Well here is the reason I'm sitting in my dorm room at 4 P.M reading a book. It's not that I hate reading, actually I love it, but I'm not the nerdish type of person who would sit in her room reading a book instead of going out with her friends

But hands down, I haven't seen those guys, Blake and his crew for the two weeks of our exams, but I can't help but walk like someone would jump on me if I turn a blind eye for a mere second whenever I'm out of the dorm.

But seriously, I feel dumb for doing this in the first place, hiding, I won't be this person, I won't hide or stop being me for such reason, and besides maybe they just left, maybe I'm not what they're looking for, I mean they are kinnda hard to miss for two weeks long, especially when I was on the lookout for them.

I let out a sigh, hoping this would be worth it.

I looked up to her gray eyes that held anticipation
