"Carter. I do not think you understand what I am saying." She states.

"No." I shake my head. I feel the tears forming but I won't let her see them. She will not have the satisfaction. Not this time. "I know perfectly well. I know that I've never meant anything to you, but you know what? I don't care. I'm done. Don't talk to me. Ever again." I storm off and run up the steps. I let the tears out. I fucking hate her. I hate everything about her. She's such a cocky, uptight bitch.

I open my bedroom door to see Harry sitting on my bed. He looks up when I slam the door. His eyes fill with concern as he sees the tears fall down my face.

"Baby." He whispers, as he walks towards me. His fingers intertwine with mine and he lifts my chin to look at him.

"What happened?"

"She's s-so mean." I sniffle.

"I know." He smiles. I mange a small smile and he pulls me close to his chest. "It's okay. She doesn't deserve you in her life."

I can't find any words. Harry's presence makes the situation a thousand times better.

"What do you say we get out of here?" He whispers in my ear, his hot breath creating goosebumps on my skin. I loved the way I reacted to him. His every move and touch causing everything from chills to goosebumps.

I nod my head and we unravel ourselves from each other, the absence of his body leaving me cold. Dismissing the dreadful feeling, I walk to my closet. I probably should take a shower but I don't have the energy. I quickly dress in a pair of jeans and a sweater. I pull my hair back away from my face and walk into the bathroom. All the events of last night cram into my mind. Now that I know Harry's damaged past, I feel as if I understand him more. Why he doesn't trust anyone. Anyone but me. I brush my teeth and decide to go without the makeup.

"Ready?" Harry asks me as he grabs his keys from my nightstand.

"Yeah." I nod and follow him out the door. I don't even bother looking to see if my mo- I mean Miss Walters can see us. She was dead to me.

My hand moved as Harry's shifted the car into the right gear. His hand laid over mine and the simple gesture made me feel secure.

My phone rings as Harry pulls onto the highway.

"Hello?" I answer the call.

I hear Haille's voice on the other end. "Hey Carter! What's up?"

"Nothing much." I lie. I honestly didn't feel like explaining the whole situation of cutting ties with my mother.

"Are you and Harry doing anything tonight?" I'm guessing the whole school knows about Harry and I. I don't remember telling Haille that we were officially an item. Although, I guess it's easy to forget things when your life is becoming a whirlwind.

"Um. I don't think so." I look over at Harry, his focus on the road. I see his eyes flicker over to me slightly.

"Well there's another party tonight." She eases in to the subject and I know it's at Lana's. I couldn't ignore the jealousy I got when she threw herself all over Harry. I was hoping to keep a distance from her at all times possible.

"Lana's?" I ask.

"Well. Yeah."

"I don't know Haille. There's school tomorrow and-"

"Carter please come with me. I hear its going to be even better this time." She coaxes.

I cover the mouthpiece on the phone. "Would you want to go to another party at Lana's tonight?" I ask Harry.

He shrugs his shoulders. "If you want."

"Yeah I guess." I say into the phone.

"Great! I'll meet you there at nine?"

"Sure."

"See you later." She says before hanging up.

I pray that tonight goes well. I really need a break and I really hope there is more vodka.

I finished applying eyeliner and walked out of Harry's bathroom. Once I had realized that I didn't have any supplies to ready for the party, Harry took me to the mall. After bickering over who pays the grand total, Harry won and I ended up with a new dress, makeup, and a curling iron.

Harry's eyes trailed my body, a tight, black dress adoring every curve. The straps were non-existent and I almost felt too exposed. The choice of the dress was of course Harry's option. I fixed my hair so that it was covering the most of my shoulders as it could.

"Holy shit." He mumbles as his eyes reach my hips. I smile at his reaction. He walks towards me, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"I don't know if I like this better on or off." He smirks and moves his lips to my my neck. "Off." He says into my neck as he harshly sucks. I found my neck full of bruises from his actions, but I didn't mind.

"We should go." I say before I find myself craving more of his touch.

He groans but obliges and carries my heels for me as we walk down the steps.

I use Harry's shoulders as a balance as I slip on the shoes. "I wish I could just wear sneakers."

Harry laughs and holds my hand as we walk to his car.

I silently hope that Harry's temper will not make an unwelcome appearance tonight.
