"Hey guys." I say as I spy Harry and Haille talking by her locker.
"Oh. Hey Carter." Haille seems startled. Almost scared.
"So what are you guys doing?" I ease into the question. There's something uneasy about the atmosphere, worrying me about what they were talking about before I came over.
"Nothing." They say in unison.
"Oh." I sigh and Harry pulls me near him by my waist.
"I-I'm gonna run to the bathroom. See you guys later." Haille says in a hurry, rushing off to the bathroom.
"What was that about?" I ask Harry am he looks at me, our eyes meeting.
"What?" He smiles at me, dimples showing.
"She just seemed kind of panicked." I state.
"She's just worried about some test she has."
"Oh." I nod my head. We didn't have any tests today. I don't think so anyways. What the hell was he talking about?
"I'm going to get my books from my locker. See you later baby." He kisses my cheek. Why were they both acting so distant? Harry walks away and I am left alone. I felt alone. I felt as if Haille and Harry were growing closer than Harry and I were. I couldn't help but be jealous. I mean Haille is gorgeous. Would Harry ever pick her over me? Why was I acting like this? It's perfectly fine if my boyfriend and best friend talk. But why weren't they talking to me? The questions swirled in my head and I am thankful for the bell ringing to break me from my thoughts.

It was finally Saturday night. I finished running the straightener over my hair and took one last look at myself in the mirror. My loose v-neck shirt a perfect contrast with the tight jeans on my legs. The look was finished off with a pair of Keds and my everyday bracelet that my dad gave me. I really miss him. I'll have to call him to see what he's doing tomorrow. My thoughts flash back to the first time Harry took me to Ed's and I explained the meaning of the bracelet to him, his hand gently grasping my wrist through the rest of meal. I wonder what he was doing. I had time to kill before Austin would be here. I dial his number, clicking the call button.
It rings a few times and I finally hear his voice on the other end. "Hello?"
"Hey Harry." I greet, unplugging the straightener.
"I thought you were with Austin." He seems to be preoccupied.
"He'll be here in fifteen minutes." I read the time on the clock.
"If it were me I would get there early. We would find something to do." Even though I can't see him, I know he is smirking.
"Of course you would." I laugh. "So what are you up to?"
"I'm going out with Evan later."
"Oh. Tell him I said hi."
"Okay." He laughs.
I hear the doorbell ring. He must be here early.
"Austin's here. I'll talk to you later."
"Don't let him make any sort of move on you or he's fucked."
"Harry. Nothing's going to happen."
"It better not. I love you."
"I love you." I say and hang up the phone.
Opening the door, I see Austin, his normal look of a black t-shirt and jeans adorning his body.
"Hey." I say, grabbing my bag from the table in the foyer.
