I pull on to the all to familiar street and drive down to Luke's house. I pull into the driveway and turn my car off. I take a deep sigh to calm myself down and get out of the car. I unlock the door, surprisingly enough, Luke didn't ask for the key back.
Immediately when I get inside, I hear the light strumming of a guitar. Confused, I walk upstairs and realize it's coming from Luke's room, and he's singing as well.
I knock and the music immediately stops. There's shuffling on the other side and a second later, Luke opens the door.
"Alexis?"
"Luke."
"What are you doing here?"
"Um, kinda forgot like, a lot of my stuff."
"Oh. Yeah..." He sounds disappointed and almost, sad.
He moves aside and I enter his room.
"I didn't know you played."
"Oh," he clears his throat, "yeah, that... It's nothing."
"It's not just nothing Luke. Your talented. And that song you were playing was beautiful." His eyes nearly pop out of his head with that statement.
"You...You heard that?"
"Yes? What's the big deal?"
"Oh... N...Nothing..." He says and scratches the back of his neck.
"Can you play it?"
"What?"
"Can you play it? Right now?"
"Play it for you?"
"Yeah."
"Why?"
"Because I really liked it. I want to hear more." I say and sit down on his desk.
He sighs but grabs his guitar and sits on the chair in front of me.
"Before I start... I just want to let you know that I don't have much. I'm still trying to figure out the notes that go with the lyrics. Okay?"
I nod and he starts playing.
I remember the day you told me you were leaving.
I remember the makeup running down your face.
And the dreams you left behind you didn't need them.
Like every single wish we ever made.I wish that I could wake up with amnesia.
And forget about the stupid little things.
Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you.
And the memories I never can escape.Cos I'm not fine at all...
"That's all I have... And it's not very good..."
"Luke that was beautiful..."
He nods.
"Can I ask you a question?"
He nods again.
"Was...Was it about me...?"
His face turns bright red and he looks down at his guitar sitting in his lap, setting it down next to the desk to distract himself.
"It was..."
"Y...Yeah... It was..."
"Luke, don't be embarrassed... Really. I loved it."
"And I love you..."
He says and gently smashes his lips against mine. I'm taken by surprise for a second until I relax into the kiss.
I run my hands through his hair and tug gently, remembering that's his sweet spot, and he leaves slight moans on my lips as he starts running kisses along my jawline and neck. I wrap my legs around his waist. He picks me up and carries me over to the bed, laying me down gently.
He pulls off his and my shirt and plays with the waistline of my pants. He pulls them off and starts running kisses down my stomach.
The second he gets down to my underwear, the doorbell rings.
"Just don't let them in." I say and pull Luke back against me, kissing him intensely.
Then we hear the door downstairs open.
"Luke?!" It's Ashton.
"Shit." Luke mumbles and pulls off of me.
I let out an aggravated groan.
Luke kisses my forehead and I smile and scrunch up my nose. He leaves the room, closing the door behind him. I pull on Luke's shirt and sit back down on the bed.
I can hear them talking.
"Hey Ash."
"Hey dude what's up?"
"N...Nothing. How about you?"
"Nothing. Just wanted to play some video games."
"Oh. I...I can't today."
"Why? Do you have a girl in there?"
"Y...Yeah?"
"What are you embarrassed about? I'm proud of you for getting over this breakup so fast. Is she hot?"
"No. She's not hot."
"See, I find that hard to believe considering you said Alexis wasn't hot and 1, she's very hot. And 2, you ended up dating her."
"You never asked what I thought of Alexis now did you?"
"No. But what does that have to do with anything?"
"Because you don't have to be hot to be beautiful. Alexis was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. And now I don't have her anymore. And you were happy about that. You're my best friend and you were happy that I lost the love of my life."
"Oh... I'm...I'm sorry dude... I didn't think you felt that strongly about her..."
I feel like I need to walk out of here. But I'm frozen. I can't move.
Luke starts to speak again.
Before I know it though, my legs are carrying me over to the door and swinging it open. Luke looks behind at me and I jump onto him, wrapping my legs around his torso and kissing him passionately.
Ashton clears his throat snapping us back into reality and I jump down, landing next to Luke who puts his arm around my waist, pulling me closer.
"Well then you should know that we're back together." Luke finally says.
Ashton nods. "Yeah, I...I kinda got that." He says and marches down the stairs.
"Bye Ash." We say in unison.
"Whatever." He slams the door behind him.
"Jump."
I do and my legs are again, wrapped around his torso and he's carrying me back to the bed.
"I'm sorry." He says between kisses "I forgot" kiss "that Ashton" kiss "has a key." More kissing.
"Oh shut up Lucas."
He pulls his shirt off of me and runs kisses back down to my underwear, slowly pulling them off.
"I love you so much..."
"I love you too..."
