The Fall

Desperately I tried to get down on my feet holding my breath harder , i made it almost.

Yes I stood ' not more than a minute and slipped with the first step I was about to make, I was falling to my right without any control.

Suddenly a pair of hands clasped against my chest pulling me back to stand.

Oh her hands felt smoother against my hard chest.

" What is the hurry ? " Emily asked furiously making me sit again in bed.

" I need to pee " I faltered.

" Oh I'm sorry Jake , I forgot about it completely , I should have helped you with that " she blabbered.

She was in her purple T-shirt and a checked red shorts. She smelled of a delicate chocolate savouring my nose. Her fluffy hair curled upon and fell over her shoulders.

What am I doing ? ' I thought.

She is kind of attracting me in every way. While I was lost in thoughts she waved her hands " Hello , you there ? "

I flickered my eyes.

" Are you listening or what ? Hold around my waist and I will somehow try to get you in ' I hope " she gave a half smile.

Emily lifted me with all her force , I made my hands around her waist.

" You weigh a freaking ton " she gasped as she helped me with each step supporting my entire weight.

" I'm not actually heavy , you are too weak " I murmured.

" Maybe "' she said as we entered the bathroom.

" You may leave now " I said balancing against the wall.

" Okay call me when its over " she turned back closing the door.

I called for her later, she came and helped me again.

" Thanks " I muttered.

" You dont have to " she said curtly.

" Remember who we are and what we used to be ? " she raised her eyebrows.

" We used to be skin and bone " I replied immediately.

" And then what happened ? " she asked plainly.

" I dont know , I'm sorry for everything , it was my mistake entirely " I apologised from my heart.

" You hang out with a new girl every week so you didn't get time to look at my face " she asked with her lips twisted upwards.

" I agree that I ignored you like anything , now I know who is with me and who isn't, I'm sorry " tears welled up my eyes.

" Oh Jake , please stop , its okay I know we will be friends again like old times " she got closer smoothed over my hair and cleaned my eyes with a hand key.

" This was the day I was waiting for five long years " she said holding my hands.

I nodded back at her " I won't hurt you ever "

" Thanks Jake , So you are back ? We used to go doing things crazy " her eyes shining brightly.

" Yes it's showtime Emily and Jake " I raised up for a HiFi. She hit me back and we laughed leaning on each other shoulder.

The happiness in her was so alluring to watch , she had that passion to wait for this stupid friend for five years after being ignored by him all the time.

And she sparkled like a star to my eyes.

I was glad that she accepted my apology so easily. It wouldn't have been easy for her.

" So what were you up to these days ? " I asked curiously.

" Nothing has changed I missed you madly I have quiet a few friends "

" Eric is close to me " she spoke calmly.

And I twiddled her nose which I loved to do since we were small.

She blushed and pushed my hands back.

" Oh dear how much I had missed it , your hands teasing me every time " her eyes full of love.

I smiled and bent to kiss on her lips.

She retreated.

" We are not Child anymore , we are turning adult's you can always kiss on my cheeks you know " she said showing her cheeks.

" Really ? " I flustered.

" Yes Jake act matured "

I kissed her hesitantly.

"Its strange why are you acting this way ? "

" Things changes as we grow old Jake " her voice serious.

I nodded in disagreement.

We spent a lot of time speaking about everything that always kept us closed with bonds.

From dawn to dusk she was with me showing what true affection meant.

The dull moonlight has spread all over the sky , she made me lie on my bed and covered me with the quilt.

" Mom wants me home " she said worriedly.

" See you in the morning sleep well " she gave a dazzling smile and disappeared closing the door.

I kept watching the moon and fell asleep soon.
