Ashley's POV
I go to my last class and just my luck: Paul transferred in. Sitting next to me, I notice the smile on his face and can't help but smirk myself.
"Hey baby." He greets me and I stick my tongue out.
"Blaugh, don't call me that." He narrows his eyes towards me and leans back in the chair.
"I thought you would like that." He speaks.
"No, I am sorry Paul, but I don't like guys like you. You think you can get anyone and how you can somehow manage to get all the girls in school to follow you. I am not one of those girls, and I refuse to allow you to treat me as one." He is silent for a short time before bouncing back.
"Woah, someone is grumpy." He speaks, I shake my head and open my book, getting ready to start class. I feel his blue eyes on me and feel awkward.
"Stop staring at me." He chuckles and turns his head.
"I am not staring at you Ashley, stop being so conceited. I just can't help but glance over once in a while, you're just so beautiful." I look over at him.
"Huh, wow Paul, you really are sweeter than I remember." I lean in closer and see his eyes widen with surprise he leans in closer.
"You couldn't be any more annoying, could you?" I whisper and he chuckles, looking at me.
"You almost got me there Ashley. I don't know what Julian doesn't see in you."
"Julian?" I question.
"Yeah, he told me you had a huge crush on him."
"Are you kidding me? He did not." I feel anger rush through me.
"He did, but, he didn't just tell me." Why does he do this kind of thing to me!
"Well I can assure you, I do not like Julian, he is stuck up and honestly rude. He isn't the kind of person that I would go for." I speak, calming myself down.
"Oh." He speaks and taps his pen on the desk in front of us.
"Look, could you do me a favor?" I ask him, he looks intrigued and leans back in his chair, tucking his hands behind his head.
"Depends what it is cutie." He smiles, I roll my eyes and huff.
"If anyone talks about me liking Julian, can you correct them please? The last thing I want is people in school to think an idea as bad as that." He tilts his head back and forth, showing me he is actually debating this.
"You're lucky I like you." He winks.
"Thanks."
"Wait... I'll do it for a kiss." He speaks and I smile.
"Sure." I speak and he leans forward, waiting. I quickly kiss my hand and slap his cheek, harder than I meant to. He shrugs and lets out a chuckle. I will say he does have a nice laugh.
"Close enough, but one day Ashley. One day you will kiss me." He speaks.
"Oh great, now I am scared." I play along, smiling.
"Don't be, I am pro at kissing." He smirks and I cover my face, chuckling.
"Not that..." I shake my head.
"Oh come on, don't tell me you have never dreamt of kissing me. You have had to think about it at least once, I mean we have known each other for a long time."
"It would be a dream come true, Paul."
"Trust me, I would rather kiss a sloth." I finish, and he places his hand on his heart.
