Ashley's POV
"Ashley, Ashley, wake up sweetie." I slowly open my eyes and see my mother looking at me. "We can go home now." I watch her smile and I sit up; she hands me my crutches and I stand to me feet, using them to walk out of the room. As we exit the room, my nurse stood with a clipboard in her hand and gives me a small hug.
"Thank you." I speak to her and she nods her head.
"No more hospitals Ashley." She smirks and I nod my head. My mom and I walk towards the elevators and I think back to how Julian treated me and internally groan. I do not want to deal with him when I get home. Sometimes I wish he could just go back from where he came from.
"Where is dad and Julian?"
"They are down in the front of the hospital, waiting in the car. This way you won't have to walk across the parking lot." I nod my head as we get into the elevator; I watch the buttons glow as we slowly make our way down to the lobby. When the door opens, I see the front door and notice my dad and Julian in the car, with Julian in the backseat, my smile fades and I straighten my long sleeve shirt and take a breath.
"Don't do anything that dumb again, Ashley." My dad teases after we got settled in the car. I shook my head with a smile on my face.
"So, anything interesting happen while I was gone?" I ask, making conversation in the midst of the silence in the car.
"Nope, nothing at all." I narrow my eyes at my dad.
"Hmm, nothing, huh? Something is fishy." I speak up, waiting for their response, receiving only silence. Until my mother turns up the radio and music plays through the speakers.
Pulling up to the house, my dad puts the vehicle to a hard stop and turns off the engine. Julian hops out the car quickly and I notice him going to my side and I open the door and put my hand out to stop him.
"I got it myself..." I say, not making eye contact with him. He backs up and manages a small smile.
"I am glad you're home, Ashley." Looking up at him, I shake my head and laugh.
"Right." I grab my crutches and make my way inside, pushing past him.
Once inside, I set my crutches down and sat on the long black couch. All I could think about was how upset I let Julian make me. I am always so good at not allowing anyone to have that big of a hold on me, expect Rachel, who only causes me rage. The door opens again and I look up from my phone and see it is Julian and I look back down pretending that he didn't just walk into the house, or even my life. I scroll through my instagram, liking some of the photos on the screen.
"Your mother and I are going to go grocery shopping. If you need anything don't hesitate to call us." He looks at both me and Julian and nods his head walking out of the house.
"Do either of you guys want anything specific?" My mom asks us and I look up from my phone with a smile on my face.
"Can you please get some chocolate ice cream for me?" She nods her head and Julian says he doesn't want anything. And then she was gone.
It gets too quiet with just me and Julian in the living room so I turn on the television and change it to MTV. I sing along to the theme song of the show in front of us and Julian clears his throat.
"You have a nice voice." I look beside me and see his smile.
"Thank you." I fake a small smile and turn my attention back to the show.
"Ashley." I hear him speak.
"Ashley..." He started again.
"Ashley!" He spoke loud and I snap at him.
