My Brown Eyed Procrastinator - Chapter 1

[Molly's P.O.V]

"Hurry up! If we're late I swear to god.." my flatmate shouts from the outside of my bedroom door. I check the time - 11:15am.

"We're not going to be late, Nicole! We've got another half an hour before we have to be there!" I shout back to her. I get that its normal to be nervous before a date, but this is ridiculous. She lets out a frustrated sigh, before I hear her soft footsteps as she makes her way into her room. I tie my long blonde hair back into a bun, and pull on my favourite hoodie. Nicole is going on a date with Phil Lester, the youtuber, and she had asked me if i wanted to come along to meet him and his friend Dan Howell, also a famous youtuber. Im just as excited as she is. Nicole has met them both before and is close friends with them, however i have never had the chance to meet them before today. I'm a big fan of both of them, i watch their videos all the time. "MOLLY COME ON!" Nicole yells.

"Alright I'm coming okay!"

I sit in the passenger seat of Nicole's car, watching her as a mix of excitement and anxiety builds up inside of the both of us. She never shuts up. She could talk for hours if she knew there was someone listening. Every few minutes she looks into the rear-view mirror, checking whether her make up is still in perfect place, rather than to see the upcoming traffic from behind. She continues to quickly waffle about Phil and when he first asked her out on a date, while i think about when i meet Dan. Dan is exactly my type. He has the right interests, taste in music, he has the hair, the perfect face. I once saw a guy who worked in costa who looked a little like him. He definitely had the hair. Nicole and I spent the entire day 'subtly' walking past costa trying to get a good look at him. We even followed him through the shopping centre as he made his way to the toilet. We soon gave up when neither of us had the courage to even go into the shop and get a coffee with him in there, never mind ask him for his number. But I've always liked Dan, and just thinking that i'll be meeting him in less than half an hour gives me butterflies.

As we walk up to Starbucks, my heart feels like its going to pound out of my chest, and i can't help but grin. I step inside and look around for the boys, when i see Phil's face light up as he catches sight of Nicole and I. I see the back of a head, with the soft brown hair i have been waiting to see, and as he turns around, with a smile that could boil baked beans in their can, i wave to Phil and Dan. I want to scream with excitement.
