Jenna's POV:
Today, I woke up and got ready. I was really excited about today. I mean come on. It was already amazing that I got to do a duet with Hunter, now he wants to work with me again. Seriously, this is awesome!
I arrived at the studio and went inside.
I saw that Hunter was already there, drinking his coffee.
"Oh hey, Jenna. Good morning," he said coming towards me.
"Hey, good morning, Hunter," I said back.
He gave me a hug, and started talking about what we were gonna do.
"So I was thinking...that maybe we could write a song together. I listened to your lyrics, and I really relate to them. I just feel like we could write about something we could both relate to," Hunter exclaimed.
"I think that would be great! I mean, I relate to a lot of your songs, too, " I said.
"Great, so what do we want to start with? We kinda gotta put our minds together," he laughed.
"Yeah, I know right. Well maybe we should come up with a theme to write about first," I suggested.
"Yeah. Let's see here," Hunter said thinking.
I started thinking about it too, when Hunter all of a sudden snapped his fingers and shouted, "I got it!"
"We could write about long distant relationships," Hunter said, feeling very proud of himself, I could tell.
"Yeah. I mean we have both had a long distance relationship before," I said.
"Ok, let's get started!"
We started writing, and that's when I Want Crazy was born. It just basically explained everything we both wanted to say. We have both been in long distance relationships, and have tried to make it work. I was currently trying to make a long distance relationship work with my boyfriend, Jacob. We only get to see each other about 3 times a month. I'm always traveling and booked for things. I can never just be home for a solid, let alone, decent amount of time. It's just so hard. I'm just scared it will affect our relationship.
"Well, Jenna. I think that's an amazing song. I have been wanting to write a song like that for a really long time," Hunter said.
"Yeah. Me too. It basically sums up my entire life right now. Relationship wise. " I exclaimed.
"Me too. Nobody really knows how hard it is to have a long distance relationship until they go through it. "
"Yeah. I would know. " I said.
"Are you currently in a long distance relationship?" Hunter asked me.
"Yeah. It's really hard because we only get to see each other a couple times a month. I'm just worried because when I try to call him, he won't answer. I just really hope this isn't affecting our relationship. " I said, looking down at my hands.
"Well, I'm sorry. I hope everything works out. Really, you don't deserve that kind of crap he's giving you. " Hunter said.
"Yeah. Sorry for the little sob story there," I laughed.
"No, no it's fine. I totally understand. It's completely fine to vent to me. " He smiled.
I laughed. "Thanks, Hunter. You're a really good listener. Jacob doesn't really ever listen. "
"Well, he doesn't deserve someone like you then. "
I looked up at Hunter and said, "I just feel like I'm the one doing this to...us. You know?"
"Well, like the song says, 'The world makes all kinds of rules for love. I say you gotta let it do what it does'. I promise, everything is gonna work out for the better. Whether it means heartbreak or not. You'll find someone that will take care of you. I promise. "
"Well thank you for the words of wisdom, Mr. Hayes. " I said, laughing.
"No problem. Just do what you know is best for you. "
"Yup. It's really hard because I don't really know whether I'm making the right decision or not. "
"You'll make the right decision I'm sure. You're really smart. "
"Thanks, Hunter. " I said smiling up at him.
Once we're finished working out all the kinks on the song, I head home. On the ride home, I'm just thinking of everything Hunter had said. The words 'I promise, everything is gonna work out for the better. Whether it means heartbreak or not. You'll find someone that will take care of you. I promise," goes through my mind. Those words really opened my mind up to everything that has been going on between me and Jacob. Maybe Hunter's right. Whether it means heartbreak or not. I have to do what's best for me.
The next week, I decide to go back home and just visit my family. I also want to talk to Jacob. I have really been thinking a lot about what Hunter said. I get to the airport and board the plane when they call all the passengers to the plane.
When we finally land, I gather all my luggage and get a rental car. I drive to my friends house. Izzy is one of my best friends. She is always there for me. She has helped me make tough decisions. She has gotten me through the hard times and heartbreaks. I couldn't wait to talk to her again.
Once I finally arrive, I knock on the door, and she immediately answers it within seconds. She opens the door, and I can see it on her face. She immediately gives me a huge hug and screams.
"OMG!!!!!! JENNA! YOU'RE BACK!!!!!!!"
I laugh. "I've missed you so much! I decided to come and visit. "
"Oh my gosh! I can't believe it! I have so much to tell you. You've missed a lot over the past year. "
We go sit down on her couch and start talking and catching up with everything. She talks about things from friends' weddings, to even some having babies. 'Geez, I have missed a lot,' I think to myself.
"It was really nice getting to talk to you. Maybe we can hang out tomorrow. Maybe go to the mall or see a movie. " Izzy suggested.
"That would be really nice. Maybe around 2 o'clock? At the movies?" I suggested.
"Yeah! Sounds great. Well, see you tomorrow. Bye. "
I gave her a hug, and then headed to my parents house. They didn't even know I was coming to visit. When I arrived there. I went up to the front door and knocked. They opened the door and gave me a huge hug.
"Jenna, I didn't know you were coming to visit," my mom said. I could tell she was shocked.
"I just decided to make a little trip down here. "
We go inside, and I just catch up with my family. After we talk for hours, we all decide to go to bed. I go into my room. Still the same. My beachy, blue walls. A bed to match. Guitars, a keyboard, and my French horn from band. My room felt like a music room. I absolutely love it. I have always been into music my whole life. You could tell by my room how much I actually really love it.
I take a shower and crawl into bed. Tomorrow I am going to hang out with Izzy, and then I am going to go visit Jacob. I have saved that visit until last because I don't want to have to deal with that for the rest of the trip.
The next morning, I wake up and get ready for the day. I meet Izzy at the movie theater. We get our snacks and walk over to the theater that the movie is showing in. I look to the front of the room, and see a very familiar face. But that face, is with a girl. Arms wrapped around her, kissing her.
