Jimin sat on the edge of his bathtub, waiting for the water to fill up. Even though it was almost full, it didn't satisfy Jimin enough. He gave up, getting in the bathtub, clothes and all. He made sure not to get the paper in his hands wet, it being the only last note he had from him. Jimin started at the picture, feeling his heart break even more.
"Why'd you have to go, hyung?" he mumbled, running his thumb over the words Jin had written on the paper. He grabbed the lighter that sat by the bathtub. This is the only way, Jimin, he thought, just get Jin out of your thoughts for good, he wouldn't want you so hung up on it. He flicked on the lighter, watching as the small flame popped up. He held the flame under the paper, watching as the letter caught on fire, starting on the bottom right corner. Slowly, he watched as the picture lit up, destroying the letters on the paper.
He held the paper over the bathtub, which was currently overflowing with water, the water soaking the bathroom floor. Jimin watched as the flame reached the end of the paper, burning off the last bit of the last letter he had from Jin. He let go of it, watching it slowly burn as it dropped to the floor. Jimins sighed, dropping the lighter and leaning back in the tub. He brought his knees up to his chest, wrapping his arms around his legs and pulling them close to his body. He put his chin on top of his knees, feeling the tears coming to his eyes. He didn't even do anything to make them stop, letting them carelessly fall.
Jimin ran a hand through his hair, frustrated. He leaned his head back, more and more tears falling. You weren't supposed to leave, he thought, you were supposed to stay here and protect us. After a while, when the bath water had made Jimin's toes feel like wrinkled grapes, he stopped crying, looking at the running faucet. He tilted his head to the side, staring at the water. I know what to do to make the pain go away.
Slowly, he slid down in the bathtub, his legs going straight. His head was almost completely underwater, but he didn't want to go down yet. He stared up at the ceiling, thinking about how this isn't what Jin would want, Jin would want them happy. He let his head fall under.
"I'm sorry, hyung."
