You were the Muggle Studies teacher. Even though you were female, you were extremely tall. You were exactly 6ft. You weren't married. No one really liked you as a kid.
Honestly, you never really cared. Even though you were a witch, you loved to learn about the muggle world. Then again, you also loved to learn about magical creatures.
All of it was just so fascinating. You wouldn't be very surprised to hear that Hermione Granger was your favorite student. You could imagine how sad you were when you heard she dropped out due to some 'technical' difficulties.
(Time Turner and stuff). Anyway, now it was the 'golden trio's' 4th year, which also happened to be the year of the tri-wizard tournament.
You were excited and all, but there was one thing you didn't like besides the endangerment of some of the students- Madame Maxine.
Sure, she was a decently nice lady, but you just kind of disliked the way her and Hagrid acted around each other.
Both you and Hagrid had always been decently good friends. You didn't know anyone else who understood you the same way.
So, yeah, it was hard for you, but you tried to support him in every way possible. You even helped his class time to time since not people took yours.
This resulted with you getting plenty of free time. So why not help out with the Care of Magical Creatures class? It was really fun to help.
You especially loved the lesson with the hippogriffs. Then that Malfoy boy ruined it. Such a shame that a single prat could ruin something so special for everyone.
Anyway, you really didn't like the way Madame Maxine and Hagrid were acting around each other. You know it's juvenile, but you can't help it. You acted as normal as possible and hid your feelings the best you could.
It was working pretty well- or so you thought. It worked well against everyone but Hagrid. Of course. He could read you like a book, even if he wasn't the best with emotions.
At the moment, it was the middle of the Yule Ball. You were actually dressed decently nice.Who says a teacher can't be fashionable? It's not like you needed heels, though. Your already tall. Sort of.
Anyway, you kind of just walked around the ball room. Sometimes, you would get girls that didn't have dates to the dance floor where they'd meet someone. It was really was cute.
As you walked around, you noticed Hagrid dancing with Madame Maxine. You frown and decide to head outside. What you didn't know was that Hagrid and Madame Maxine were doing the same thing.
As you walked around aimlessly, you suddenly hear voices. You quietly peek around a hedge to see who it was.
You frown once you see who it is. Madame Maxine and Hagrid. Of course, who else could it have been? You look around and spot Harry and Ron.
They were across from you behind a different hedge. Neither seemed to notice you; which was a relief.
You were about to quietly walk away; until you hear them start to argue. You peel back from behind the hedge to see that both of them had stood up.
Suddenly, Madame Maxine started walking your way. You quickly dive behind a statue of a stag. She walked past. You then look back at Hagrid; who, as you expected, looked decently sad.
You waited a couple minutes; then walked up a sat next to him. Hagrid looks down at you with a surprised look on his face.
"You ok?" You ask. (Finally, something has been said). Hagrid then frowns.
"Yeah, I guess. Just a bit of issues is all." Hagrid replies. You look up at him.
"Just know that I'll always be there for you, no matter what." You request. Hagrid smiles. The both of you sit there the rest of the night; talking about what creature Hagrid should use in his next lesson.
So you may not have told him you loved him, but doesn't just being there for someone give you that heart warming feeling as well?A/N
