hello again and here's your new chapter!!

"'re-Introductions"

I stopped squealing and looked at him intently. he looked around and made sure no one heard us.

"jeez. don't wanna wake up the whole neighborhood..." he looked straight at my face. "you promise not to scream?" I nod. "ok. promise." he slowly removes his hand away from my face. i give him a weird look.

"why are you here? why are you in my backyard?" i ask in my normal voice but he gestures me to be quiet. I cross my arms and wait for an answer.

"well... umm... I kinda need dog food." what? dog food?

"what makes you think I have dog food?" he scratched the back of his head and looked at me sheepishly.

" I don't expect you to I just... I found this puppy and... I think it needs to be fed." a puppy?

"well uh, do you have the critter with you now?"he looked behind him and pulled out from the bushes, a scrawny beagle pup. the dog looked at me with Brown eyes. this dog looked dirty, cold and hungry. I picked it up. well, him now that I see its privates.

"I surely can feed it. but it needs a bath, and a home as well." this boy looked at me with his big greenish, gray orbs. I stood up holding the pup. I walked out of the bushes and started to walk up the stairs. I turned to see the boy standing.

"well, are you gonna help me or aren't you?" with that he scrambled onto the stairs. before I opened the door I gave precaution that if my brother wakes up, I'm dead meat. we walked into my room and he looked around when I opened my bathroom door. we walked in the bathroom and I turned the hot water on. we I sat on top of the toilet and the boy leaned on the sink. I pet the beagle lovingly, and it burrowed into my sweat shirt.

"can you get that towel from that cupboard right there" I ask him. he turns to my cupboard and takes a towel out and sets it on the corner of the bathtub. we sat in silence until he spoke up.

"so... you like music?"

"and why do you ask?" he blushed and turned away.

"well it's just that you have lots of records and you have a few instruments in you room..." I nodded.

"yes. I guess you could say I am a musical person" I looked at him in the eye."what kind of person are you?"

"I guess I like writing and reading." that's very.... unique. for a greaser boy. After the tub was full enough for this puppy, i dipped the dog in. the boy got on his knees and i noticed he had taken his leather jacket off and looked ready to help me. we then got to work scrubbing the dog every inch bathing him in warm water.

After we finished with him, the boy wrapped him in the towel lovingly petting him while drying him off.

"stay here. im gonna get some food." he nodded. "and uh... try not to make alot of noise. my brothers next door." i said pointing my thumb to the next room. he nods again and focuses on the dog again. I go through the hallway and check on Danny.

fast asleep. phew. ok.

I get into the kitchen and go to the fridge getting the ham and cheese out along with a chicken leg. I turned around seeing Danny leaning against the kitchen entrance.

"are you looking for something cat? because if you're looking for your chocolate, I ate it." I pouted and got a little mad.

"you ate my chocolate?!?" I wasn't that mad I mean... it's chocolate. c'mon. but this subject made it positive that Danny wouldn't enter my room to disturb me.

"yeah cat sorry bout that." I pushed past him trying to be angry as possible. I was at my door. "hey cat! I can still buy you a new one!" I turned to him angry as possible. honestly this made me laugh inside. I made myself scowl trying not to smile.

"but I had a perfect connection with that chocolate and you ate it!" I said quickly entering my room and shutting it. as soon as I got in I noticed the boy laughing. not out loud hahaha. but trying to keep it in kind of laugh.

"you really love chocolate huh?"

"oh shut up. I just saved your butt." I said flinging him the food. "besides." I said moving to my jewelry box opening it and showing him the inside. "I've got all the chocolate I need." I stuff alot of candy in there.

after feeding the puppy, it walks to the end of my bed, and closes its tired little puppy eyes. I pet his head and he falls asleep. there is a silence in the room. not awkward just quiet.

"well... I guess I should head out." the boy says.

"yeah... I'll walk you out." I quietly open my door. no Danny. I start walking near the kitchen where the coat closet was. I am grabbing the boy by the sleeve. I hear riddles from my mom's bedroom. mama. I push the boy in the closet.

"what the he..." I put my hand on his mouth and I quietly entered with him. I go to his ear and whisper.

"just stay quiet" I hear rustling then sobbing for a couple of minutes. then soft breathing gives me the cue that I can go. but before I go out, I look at this boy. my heart is pounding and my spine is tickling me. this is the closest I've been to a boy. he looks into my eyes and holds. I snap out of my trance and step out of the closet and look left, then right, and pull him out.

"sorry. just gotta be quiet. my family has keen ears." he nods with a weird little smile on his face. anyway we get out of the house and he slowly goes down the porch steps and whips around.

"thanks for taking in that mutt by the way."

"hey now(A/N if u watched that movie 'that night' with Tommy howell aka PONYBOY then u understand the fan girling!!!) don't go all gushy on me... we are NEIGHBORS." he chuckles at my comment then continues down the stairs. then I remembered I don't know his name yet!

"hey guy!" he turns around. "what do they call you 'round here gun slinger?" he shakes his head and laughs. then looks at me opening the front gate.

"they call me Ponyboy. Ponyboy Curtis."
