After three more movies and many more drinks, everyone eventually fell asleep. Daniel and Blair cuddled up in the love seat, while Adeline and I slept on the pallet we made on the floor.
"Dav, wake up it's time for you too go too work." Adeline said as she lightly shook me awake.
"No I'm not going ever again." I say and push my head farther into the pillow.
"Why would we stay up that late on a work night oh my God." She said and threw herself onto the couch.
"Ugh atleast you get to go work with kids, I have to go to a boring office. Ughh." I whine and roll off of the pallet.
"Yes sixth graders are so fun, Why can't we still be in college like Blair." She says and throws a pillow at Blair who starts yelling at us."
"Blair oh my God shut up my head can't take it!" I yell and run into my room, slamming the door.
After contemplating on if I should actually get up or stay in bed all day, I get up and throw on sweatpants and a t shirt. Not in the mood to do anything I just brush my teeth and put my hair in a messy bun along with throwing on my glasses and adidas.
I walk back into the living room and see that the pallet was cleaned up and Daniel was making breakfast for everyone.
"Your a lifesaver D thanks for cleaning." I say and look over at Blair and Adeline who have both fallen back asleep.
"It's all good I knew this might happen so I was prepared." He said and smiled.
After saying goodbye to Daniel I walked out, not caring that when I come back they will probably all be there sleeping still.
"Davina, Davina, good morning, good morning, good morning." Chris said smiling and walking into his office.
"Oh, hey Chris, what's up." I say and cringe at my pounding headache.
"Nothing much just enjoying myself still from that party last night." He said and did a little jump.
"Oh yeah me too, wow you have a lot of bottles there." I say after looking at the many bottles on his desk.
"Oh yeah, would you like a vitamin? B12? Evening primrose oil? Willow bark? Magnesium?" He says.
"I think I'm good for right I now." I say and give him a weird look.
"You sure? They're really good for hangovers." He says and starts taking one out of the bottle.
"Okay, I'll take one." I hold my hand out for and swallow it quickly.
"Davina? Hey!" Ben says from his desk behind us.
"I'm just gonna be over here doing some chin ups and listening to whale noises." Chris says as he pulls out a big set of headphones
"So how did you like the party last night?" I ask and he sighs.
"Eh it was okay after you left Leslie yelled at me again but I'm okay."
"Yikes bet that was really fun." I say and then groan, having second thoughts about coming to work today.
"You wanna get a beer?" He ask randomly.
"It's 10:30 in the morning, also I'm dressed like I just got out of bed." I say and look down at my mismatched outfit.
"Yeah let's a beer." He said and got up from his desk.
"Oh oh oh don't keep him too long I need someone to be here when I take my multivitamin. There's a choking hazard." Chris says and pulls out a huge pill.
"Oh um gotcha?" I say and we quickly walk out of the office.
As we're walking into the hallway Leslie stops us.
"Oh hey Davina, Ben. Can I talk to you real quick i need to apologize." She says guiltily and takes Bens wrist.
"Oh um Davina and I were about to go get a beer, do you wanna come with us?" He says and Leslie looks at us weirdly.
"Yeah sure, why were you guys going out at 10:30?" She says and starts laughing.
"Hangover." I say and grab both their arms and pull them to my car.
When we get too the little restaurant we all take a seat at the bar.
"Hey I'm sorry that I yelled at you, all three times, but I don't think you know anything about our department. Have you ever been part of a government body before?" She asks
"Uh, I have. Yeah, in a small town called Partridge, Minnesota." He says awkwardly then takes another sip of his drink.
"Why does that sound so familiar..." She trails off and Ben gives her a look, "Your Benji Wyatt?" She says and I have to stifle a giggle.
"I am." He says a little embarrassed.
Benji Wyatt was the eighteen year old mayor of Partridge, he used all of the towns money on building a sports complex called ice town, then got impeached.
"Oh my God you were so cute!" I say and Leslie laughs with me.
"God I was so jealous of you!" She says and we both laugh again
"You shouldn't have been I mean it kind of ruined my life, now I'm balancing budgets to show people I'm responsible, and run for office again one day without getting laughed at, you want to run for office to some day don't you?" He says and points his bottle at Leslie, obviously I've never thought about it since I'm too young to run anytime soon.
"Yeah, how'd you know?" She said and looked at him oddly. I was beginning to feel a little bit awkward since I couldn't really cut into their conversation.
"Well you have to be able to make decisions like this Leslie, you have to be harsh you know? No ones gonna elect you to do anything if you don't show that your a responsible grown-up." He says then looks at me
"Yeah." She says then looks down at the table.
"Well, we should probably get going back now." Ben says then pulls out his credit card to pay, I'm a little disappointed since I didn't really get to talk to Ben and Leslie about normal things other than the government.
