chapter 1

I woke up this morning feeling somebody's little hands playing with my hair. I did a loud snore and I heard a little giggle I kept doing it and moved and grabbed him. I started doing raspberries on his stomach and he had a laughing fit.

"Stop momma" he said laughing I looked at him and smiled he looked like Kajai so much. I gave him a kiss on the head and he kissed my cheek.

"Momma can we go to the park" I picked him up and got out of bed. I went downstairs and went into the kitchen putting him on the counter.

"I don't know big boy Uncle J might wanna take you somewhere" he looked down and had a pout on his face. I ran my hand threw his curly hair and he looked at me. "Maybe he'll take you to the park later" he started smiling and I kiss his head. I grabbed a bowl and put the cereal in it adding chocolate milk. I took him in the living room I turned on Sponge Bob and his eyes lit up like Christmas.

I heard a knock on the door and I went and opened it and junior stood there with Jhèda. Ky'Mire ran to the door and hugged Juniors legs.

"Can we go to the park" he asked jumping up and down. Junior shook his head and Ky'Mire stomped back to the couch. Junior followed him and sat next to him as he struggled to get on the couch.

"Junior help my baby with yo bitch ass see he need help" he smacked his lips and flipped me off. Ky'Mire got on the couch and kept watching TV. "See that boy know how to get up there shut yo ass up and go get ready" I looked at him like he was stupid and looked at Jhèda. Today was her birthday she was turning 6.

"Happy birthday Lil momma" I said running my hands threw her curly hair. When Ky'Mire was done eating I went to his room and picked out his clothes. Which was his all black shirt with his jeans and some all black roshes. I got him ready then I went in my room and took a quick shower and did my curly hair in a high bun and put a little head band thing on my forehead.

Once I was done putting on my outfit I did my makeup and put on my jewelry. I grabbed my phone and Ky'Mire tablet and walked downstairs. Junior stood up and grabbed Jhèda hand and walked out the house. I grabbed Ky hand and gave him his tablet.

"Momma where we going" he asked as I locked the door and got him in the car. "I don't know baby uncle J didn't tell me" he looked at me with his 'be real' face and I started laughing. "I promise mommy doesn't know" he smiled and nodded and I got in the drivers seat. Once Junior pulled off I followed him to wherever we're headed.

We pulled up to this pretty house and saw it was a birthday party. I was so confused but Ky was all for it I looked back at him and smiled. I got out the car and got him to and made sure I locked the door. I walked over to Juniors car and waited for him to get out.

"Junior who birthday party is this"i asked he put Jhèda down and patted her back a little. She grabbed Ky's hand and they ran off into the house. "It's Jhèda party Mo" I looked at him like he had to heads. I punched him in the chest and went back to my car. I was about to get in when he snatched my keys.

"Where you going Mo" I looked back at him and snatched my keys back. "I'm leaving bring Ky home when it's over" I was trying to get in my car but he pushed me.

"You need to get out the house you need to stop being scared they won't even notice you you look so much different" he said pulling me towards the house. We walked in and there were kids running around and other people talking and eating. I followed junior and he went to the back yard. They were all back there Yani, Tywan, Jude and Surprise surprise Kajai but he had some girl on his lap.

"AYE y'all I'm back and I brought people" Junior said sitting down I stood there awkwardly. He pull My hand and sat me in the chair next to him "well y'all this Mo- I mean Megan y'all talk or whatever females do" I glared at him because he almost said my name. Everyone was staring at me

"You look like a girl we know her name was Monroe you know her" Yani said sitting up I nodded my head. "What you mean was is she dead or something" Jude scuffed and shook her head.

"So you do know her" she asked with an attitude they both shook they head. "Why" I ask I'm trying to play cool if you haven't noticed.

"She dead to us but she left without even saying anything we haven't heard from her in years she just went MIA on us Like" Jude said is she big mad or little mad. Then Yani nodded in agreement

"Then my brother comes back she not even here like she said she would hold it down but went MIA" that's when I got mad I got up and I just glared at them.

"What the fuck instead of trying to find her y'all bitches wanna blame her maybe she had a kid who she loved so much that she left everything behind so he could have the great life leave all her family and friends even the love of her life even though he wasn't here maybe she didn't tell him he had a kid because she didn't want him to feel trapped so don't ever say she just went MIA without a reason because she wanted to stay trust she did so much but her kid meant more to her then friends his happiness is enough for her" I said Yani was about to say something but I felt a tap on my thigh.

"Momma momma look I got candy look it rowy ranchers" I looked down and saw Ky I smiled and opened one for him. He ran over to Junior and gave him one. "Lil nigga you having fun" he asked and picked him up. I looked and saw everyone staring at Ky'Mire he was just talking up a storm.

"Hey momma I got a girlfrwd" I snapped my head to him so fast I thought my neck would break. He just smiled and I was about to say something when Kajai decided to start.

"Who is your daddy Lil man" Ky'Mire looked over at Kajai and he frowned. "Why you wanna know my daddy" he ask and I smiled Kajai looked shocked and then looked at me.

"Junior you was about to say her name was Monroe wasn't you" I heard Tywan say say he got up. "And Lil man right here look just like Kajai and the only way this 'Megan' would know what Monroe been doing is if she was Monroe" I looked at him and shook my head. Ky'Mire came over to me and hid behind my legs. "What are you talking about" I ask holding Ky'Mire by the back. I picked him up and looked at my phone.

"Uh Junior I gotta go we got places to be" I said in a rush and they all got up. "Monroe you can't hide we will find y'all and I will have a relationship with my son" I stop and looked back at him.

"Leave us alone Kajai" I said rushing out threw the house. I guess Ky'Mire dropped his toy on the porch and started whining. "How about we by another one"

"NO MOMMY I WANT THAT ONE" I huffed and grabbed it. I rushed and put him in the car they all came out the door. I started driving and I knew I was speeding my phone started ringing.

"STOP SPEEDING WITH HIM IN THE CAR"

"MAKE SURE THEY DON'T FIND US JUNIOR"

"You gotta let them have a relationship Mo"

"I know just not now"

Then I hung up the phone and kept driving. I heard Ky'Mire call my name

"It's OK baby I made a promise to you to let you have a good drama free life and that's what you'll get" and I just kept driving.

I'm just not ready for him to meet him yet I meet time.
