*gasp* I updated!

everything was kind of strange lately. ever since the incident with michael and lizzy, calum has been a bit off. he's been ignoring a lot of luke's texts and calls, which wasn't normal. not only was calum ignoring luke, but so was michael. they haven't hung out since that night with calum, which was just over two weeks ago.

honestly, luke was tired of it. he missed his best friend, and he missed calum. he didn't know what he did wrong, but he surely wanted to know. luke didn't understand why all of a sudden everything was so different.

the worst part of it all? he had no one to talk to about it. his best friend is ignoring him. the guy he likes is ignoring him. hell, his sister has been ignoring him too, just not as much as michael and calum. he needed somebody, yet had no one.

that's how luke found himself in walmart looking for the familiar boy who he has grown feelings for.

he was very nervous, to say the least. he hasn't seen calum in a couple weeks, and he has no idea what he's going to say to him. luke probably should've thought this plan out more, but when he saw the raven haired boy placing cds in their correct slots, it was too late.

"luke?" calum asked as he placed a britney spears cd on the shelf.

"uhm hey," luke replied awkwardly. calum walked towards luke with his smile that luke adored.

"what's up?" calum asked politely. luke was kind of annoyed because he was acting as if he wasn't ignoring him for the past week.

"oh," luke mumbled and scratched the back of his neck. "I was just bored, so I came here. I actually need to ask you something."

"okay. i'll take my lunch break now," calum replied and grabbed luke's hand. luke blushed at the sudden contact and followed calum.

-

"so," calum said nervously while taking a sip of his coffee. calum had a pretty good idea as to what luke needed to talk about, and he wasn't all that ready to explain. "what'd you need to ask me?"

"okay, so this might sound a little creepy or clingy, and i'm not trying to be that type of person at all," luke explained. "it's just-I don't even know. everyone's been ignoring me lately, and I don't know why. you and michael haven't been texting me back, and liz barely speaks to me anymore. I don't know what I did wrong, so I just want to clear things up I guess. if you don't like me, then just tell me now. I just need to figure out why nobody's talking to me."

calum frowned and lowered his head. the guilt of holding this secret from luke was eating him alive, but he couldn't tell luke. it would crush him.

"listen, luke. I like you. a lot. i've just been really busy lately, so I haven't had time to text you back," calum semi-lied. "i'm really sorry."

"oh," luke frowned. "i'm sorry. I-I just thought that all of you guys were mad at me over something, and I wasn't sure about what."

calum shook his head and grabbed luke's hands from across the table. "i'm not mad at you. you've done nothing wrong, babe."

luke blushed at the pet name before replying, "okay, good. I was worried."

calum gave luke a smile for reassurance, and luke sent one back.

"do you possibly know why liz and michael are ignoring me?" luke asked after a few moments of silence. calum's eyes went wide, and he awkwardly cleared his throat.

"oh, uhm-no. I don't know why." luke frowned but nodded his head. calum mentally punched himself in the gut for not telling luke the truth, but he just couldn't.

besides, what's the worst that can happen?

-

omg it's been so freaking long and i'm soooo sorry.

like calum, i've been extremely busy, and i've had major writers block with this story.

(which explains why this chapter is so bad)

anyway, i still hope you enjoyed this stupid filler. i doubt any of you have this in your library anymore lol
