"And I missed you." the guest replied, a small smile forming upon it's lips.

She pulled away and cupped his cheeks in her hands, her lips curling up to a small smile - and for once in a month, she finally showed a smile that was true. Small - but still. "How've you been, Louis?" she asked.

"I've been alright. How are you? So far, my guesses are right.” he stated, a small grin on his lips.

"Oh? And what are those guesses, Mr. Tomlinson?" she grinned back at him, pulling away from his grasp. Neither did the two realize that the two girls that occupied the room as well aside from them were staring at them in awe.

"That you aren't in great condition and that you're sick." he pointed out, throwing her a knowing look, "When was the last time you had a proper meal?"

"I don't quite remember," she whispered, tearing her gaze away from him. "I don't really feel like talking about it."

He tilted her head back up by her chin and flashed her a small smile, cupping her cheeks in his hands as he slowly stroked her cheek with his thumb. "But we will, if it'll help you, we will."

Miley kept his gaze on his, her lips curling up to a wider smile by the second. She nodded her head slowly and whispered, "Okay."

The two of them stared at each other for a moment and the two others stood there completely shocked at how Louis could captivate Miley and somewhat felt uncomfortable at the sight. They decided to slip out of the room quietly and let the two talk to each other and catch up since they haven't talked for quite some time now. Louis pulled his hands away and sat down on the edge of the bed, patting the spot beside him. Miley didn't hesitate and sat down beside him, not tearing her gaze off of the boy before her. Louis and Miley had been best friends since they were toddlers and they even went to the same college together - different courses, of course. Louis was always there for Miley when she needed someone and he was the only person she would open up to. To everyone, they were inseparable - but that all ended because of one particular person. The one she was crying about, the one she still loved - and she regretted it, well not completely since she still loves him but a part of her wished she never let that bastard get in the way.

"Tell me what's wrong, Miley." he said, grabbing her hands in his. He gave her a saddened but comforting look and gently squeezed her hand. "Please, don't lie to me."

"He left me, Lou…" she trailed off, tearing her gaze away from him and looked down at their hands, "I feel so stupid."

He sighed and began to stroke her thumb slowly with his, he gave her hand another gentle squeeze and said, "You're not. He's the stupid one for letting someone like you go."

"I should've stopped him. I should've fought for him but I didn't." she said, looking back up at Louis; the corners of her eyes slowly filling up with tears, "I'm so sorry, Lou."

"For what?" he asked, his brows furrowing in confusion at her statement. "You didn't do anything wrong to me."

"Cut the bullshit. You know what I did, I cut off our friendship for him and I don't even know if it was worth It." she said, her lips curling down to a frown. "I wish I could take it all back."

"You cutting off of our friendship did hurt but you don't have to worry, I understand you only did it because you were in love and when you're in love - you tend to do stupid things for them." he said, flashing her a small smile. "I never wanted you to leave me for him but you did anyways. Tell me, Miley, what is it that you regret the most? What is it that you want back?"

"I want my life back, Lou.” She stated, fluttering her eyelids shut for a moment as she let out a shaky breath, “I want to be happy again. It was all a mistake – I just know it.”
