Lucy and Troian’s House

Troian would never realize that she’d be the one trying to make her sister feel better. It was always the other way around in the family. Troian never seemed happy but Miley would always be there with her bubbly self – trying to cheer her up. She was exhausted, not because of her own sanity but for her sister’s. She was exhausted seeing Miley at this state and it made her heart ached every single time. She should have warned Miley the very first time she mentioned that bastard that made this all happen. Her sister never planned on falling for someone and nor did Troian expected it to be the senator’s kid.

Troian glanced to her side and her best friend came into view. A smile tugged upon the corners of her lips at the sight of her as memories between the two filled her mind. Troian wouldn’t know what to do without Lucy and everyone knew that the bond they have would never be broken. They’ve been friends since they were little toddlers and Troian wouldn’t ask for anyone better as her best friend. They’ve shared everything together, from little secrets to bigger ones and from shoes to clothing. They always had each other’s backs. Lucy on the other hand, felt as if Miley and Troian were her own sisters. She wasn’t sure why but she didn’t have much family either back home and she was glad to have these two. She was also glad she had decided to move in with Troian when they first started college – but now that their college semesters are over, they were now on pursuit to look for jobs around the area. The two shared the little money they had on resources such as the things stocked up in their kitchen, their rent and a few of their clothing but either way, they were content with what they have and none of them would ever wish for more. They often fought but it was over the silliest of things and one of them would always decide to stop and just let things go because they both know they had the worst tempers.  Either way, they both thought they were blessed to have each other.

Lucy nudged Troian with her elbow – causing Troian to snap out of her trance and to look over at her, her brow arching in curiosity. “What?” she asked. Lucy lifted her gaze up and gestured towards the direction with her head. Troian furrowed her brows in confusion before turning her head towards the direction. To her surprise, Miley was out of her room and what shocked her most is that – Louis was behind the whole thing and not her or Lucy.

Louis tore his attention off of Miley and looked over at the two that sat comfortably on the couch. The two stared at Miley with a mixture of confusion, happiness and surprise. He cleared his throat and gave the hand he held a gentle squeeze of comfort, “Miley has something to tell you girls.” He said, hoping to break the awkward silence that filled the room.

Troian took one last glance at her sister before turning her attention towards Louis. “Oh, what’s it about?” she questioned before looking back over at Miley.

“You’d hate me forever…” the brunette that stood beside Louis whispered, tears filling the corners of her eyes as she spoke. Troian stood as her eyes saddened at the sight; her heart aching once more. She made her way towards her and snaked her arms around her waist, pulling her into an embrace. Miley buried her face into the crook of her neck and started sobbing. Troian rested her chin on the top of her head and rubbed her back soothingly. She held her close and just let her cry – not wanting to ask any questions yet until she was ready to give the answers out. Troian didn’t care how long it took to wait. She didn’t care if the seconds would turn into minutes and the minutes would turn into hours, she would comfort her sister until she felt a little better.

Seconds did turn into minutes and soon after; the brunette pulled away from the embrace and tilted her head back to look up at her sister; tears rolling down her cheeks. Troian placed a hand on Miley’s cheek and stroked it slowly with her thumb, her brows furrowing with concern.
