I woke up the next morning, or should I say afternoon, seeing as the clock read 1:30 pm. I had about 6 hours before I had to meet Mia to head to the Aerosmith concert. I pulled myself from the bed and made my way into my bathroom. Roscoe was hot on my heels the entire time, and laid in his spot on the small bathroom floor as I started the shower. I stripped from my clothing before I stepped inside, letting the warm water wash over my body.

I washed my hair and body quickly, shaving over my legs before rinsing off and stepping out of the shower. I wrapped myself with a towel and walked back into my bedroom to get dressed for today. I left my hair wet, drying it slightly with a towel. I pull on a black tank top and a pair of cut off jean shorts, slipping my feet into some vans before I spray myself with perfume.

I grab my phone and car keys, grabbing Roscoe's leash. Hooking the clip to the ring on his collar we both head from the house. He is wagging his tail excitedly as we make our way to the car. I open the driver's door and he jumps inside going to the passenger's seat and sitting down, his tongue hanging from his mouth adorably.

"Yeah buddy, we're going to the park." I laugh, scratching him for a moment before starting the car and driving away from the apartment.

It took a total of about ten minutes to get to the park, after I stopped at Starbucks for a coffee. I pull into a parking spot, grabbing my coffee, phone and keys. I stuff my phone and my keys in my back pocket, before grabbing Roscoe's leash and his ball.

Once I step from the car he is immediately out of the vehicle and raring to go. I just laugh and lead him over to a picnic table with a huge clearing of grass in front of it.

"Sit, Roscoe." I say and he obediently plants his butt on the ground. I unclip his leash, but he doesn't move from his spot while I get situated. I pull my phone and keys from the back pocket of my shorts so I don't sit on them. I place them on the table next to the leash and my coffee.

I sit on the bench grabbing Roscoe's ball and showing it to him before I gave it a nice throw. He immediately darts after the ball his fur blowing in the wind. I can't help but smile.

This was a daily routine for me and Roscoe. We'd come here to this park and stay for a few hours, it gave him time to run and play and it gave me time to be in nature and think.

I needed the time to breathe and relax. Mia and I often did some crazy things together, and it was nice to step back and love the nature and fresh air. The total siren silence that this park held was absolutely amazing.

Three hours later, Roscoe and I head back to the apartment so I can begin getting ready for the concert tonight after doing much of nothing all day long.

I immediately released Roscoe from the leash when we get inside and head back to the shower, since I smelled like outside and a hint of sweat. It had been quite hot out today at the park.

I jumped in the shower and washed myself quickly, before I stepped out and took a blow dryer to my hair. Once it was dry I curled it into bouncy ringlets, my brown and blonde hair falling almost to my waist. I put a thick braid on my dominant hair side—the side with the most hair thanks to my part—and then moved on to makeup.

I did my makeup with light eye shadow and a dramatic cat eye, adding several coats of mascara to my lashes to make them thick a voluminous. I painted my lips a neutral color, and painted my nails black quickly.
